  • Welcome back to another edition of TETV Morning News. Today is Wednesday, February 1.
  • The Outdoor Education Club will be going on the Ice Skating trip today after school. Those who signed up and paid please report to room 361 in Crimson, at the end of the day after all students have been dismissed. Please make sure that you have arranged a ride to pick you up at South Windsor Arena at 5:20pm.
  • Attention 7th and 8th graders- Did you get your ticket yet for Friday's Valentine's Dance? Are you coordinating your fit in hopes of winning a prize? What are you waiting for? There is ONE DAY LEFT to sign up and buy your ticket- tickets will NOT be sold at the door. Make sure to click the link on the TE Homepage to fill out the Google Form BEFORE you try to buy your ticket. Tickets are now on sale during lunch waves today and tomorrow, or tomorrow morning before 8:05. Don't get left out in the cold- sign up and buy your ticket by TOMORROW!!
  • The Lady Cougars hosted JFK last night and fell to the patriots 30–21. Without two of its best players, the Lady Cougars found it tough to get things going. With the score tied at 12 at halftime, the JFK Patriots came out, blazing hot, and blanketed the Lady Cougars on the defensive end. Unfortunately, late on, the Lady Cougars were not able to get back into the game. The Patriots, handed the Lady Cougars there second loss of the season. The Lady Cougars next play host to Suffield on Thursday. The three captains Keira Dietelbaum, Teagan Purcell, and Emery Forko lead the charge for TE. Good luck on Thursday girls.
  • Student council is excited to announce our first carnation sale! Next week, you will be able to purchase flowers for $2 for your friends and classmates to receive on Valentines day! More information will be announced on Friday. We are excited to spread some cheer this winter, so start thinking about who you want to send flowers to!
  • The literary magazine Out of the Blue will meet after school on Monday, February 6 in room 222.  Members please come with a charged Chromebook, something to write with, and the piece you are working on for our magazine.
  • Attention ALL Jump Start students: Please remember that the program will be held TODAY! If you are signed up for Jump Start, then we expect to see you this afternoon. We look forward to seeing you all in the cafeteria right after school!!
  • Attention all students interested in participating in TETV News, auditions for the Third quarter will be held next Monday, February 6th afterschool until 4pm. Students will read through a daily news script off a teleprompter to audition. For more information see Mr. Goric.

  • Welcome back to another edition of TETV Morning News. Today is Wednesday, January 25.
  • Attention 7th and 8th grades… Get out your shiny ties and sparkly shoes! The 7th and 8th grade Valentine's Dance is coming up NEXT FRIDAY, February 3! Semi-formal dress is optional. This is not a "dates only" event so get your friends together and get ready to dance! Stay tuned for more information about TE's next opportunity for a night to hang out with friends and earn some prizes! Tickets on sale soon.
  • Last night the lady cougars traveled to East Hartford to take on the Falcons, in yet another CRAL battle. It was a tightly contested game throughout, with the Lady Cougars coming out on top 49 to 43. Leading the way was Morgan Bridgeforth with 12 points and Emery Forko with a career high nine points. Teagan Purcell, Kyla Wood and Keira Dietelbaum each had five points while Maria Puniello chipped in seven and Shea Brochu had six. The Lady Cougars were excellent in the final stages of the game, holding the ball and forcing the Lady Falcons to foul. Puniello and Brochu sank a couple key free throws to seal the game. Congrats on the win girls!
  • Attention all members of Out of the Blue.  We will meet on Monday January 30 in room 222 in the Scarlet hallway.  Please be sure to bring a charged Chromebook and something to write with.  Ms. Olsen looks forward to seeing you there!

  • Welcome back to another edition of TETV Morning News. Today is Wednesday, January 18.
  • If you were nominated for student council, please check Google Classroom and accept the invite!
  • Attention all members of Out of the Blue.  We will meet after school next Monday January 23 in Ms. Olsen's room, room 222.  Please bring your Chromebook.  We hope to see you there!
  • Attention Entertainers Cast and Crew: Check the Google Classroom for this week's rehearsal schedule. ALL CAST is scheduled for rehearsal this Wednesday AND Thursday. Also, check out the Purple and White cast lists posted in the Google Classroom this morning. See you all at rehearsal tomorrow!
  • TEMS students- we are excited to share more details about a SCHOOL WIDE activity night scheduled for this Friday, January 20th. We will be hosting a dance in the cafeteria, a movie in the library, and activities in the gym from 6:00-8:00 pm. Tickets are $10.00 and will be sold in the main office and cafeteria starting today. You must fill out this registration form so teachers know how you are being picked up. See you there!
  • In other school news, Ms. Irwin and your teachers believe our students have earned the privilege of trying cross-team lunch seating. As a result of this cross-team seating will begin next Thursday, January 19th and continue to Friday, January 27th.  At any time if a grade level does not meet our expectations during lunch that grade will revert back to the team seating.

The Cross-team lunch expectations are as follows:

  1. Follow adult directions
  2. No more than 8 students to a table and 6 students to a booth
  3. Once seated at a table a student must stay at that table for the whole lunch period
  4. Students must raise their hand to leave the table for any reason
  5. Only 1 student up per teacher at any one time for a snack
  6. Students will throw out their trash as they are dismissed  
  7. Student dismissal procedure will remain un-changed
  8. Once dismissed students should go directly back to their team area by the same route they normally take
  • The outdoor education club will be going on an Ice Skating trip at South Windsor Arena on January 25th. Spots are filling up fast so claim yours before it is full. The trip costs $15. It includes rental skates and transportation to the arena. Please arrange a parent or guardian to pick you up at 5:20pm at South Windsor Arena. Extra permission slips are available in room 361. Permission slips and money are due to Señor G in Crimson room 361 by Monday January 23rd.
  • The TE Robotics Club will be holding an informational meeting this Thursday afterschool in room 112. Students who are interested in joining should attend. We will discuss a general overview of the program, and students will complete an application. The program will be open to 40 students. We look forward to seeing everyone who is interested next Thursday after school.
  • And now for some Teen Center Announcements - The Teen Center is holding a Book Drive in Honor of National Reading Day next Monday, January 23rd. People can donate their gently used or new books to the Teen Center’s Youth Council volunteers at the Community Center from 3:30-5pm. Students can join us at the Teen Center for a Movie Night from 6-8pm on Friday the 27th!   • Welcome back to another edition of TETV Morning News. Today is Wednesday, January 11.
  • Today and tomorrow students will be taking the STAR assessment. Please be sure to bring a fully charged Chromebook and chargers to school for the next two days. Lets do our best and show what we can do as a school community because TE Roars.
  • The Lady Cougars hosted the Falcons from East Hartford last night in a mid-table CRAL clash.  The Lady Cougars jumped out early in the first quarter and never relinquished the lead the rest of the way.  Teagan Purcell had 7 points on the night with a couple clutch buckets in the second quarter.  Kai Grate also had 8 points in the quarter with Shea Brochu and Gianna DiSalvatore rounding out the quarter both with two each. DiSalvatore's bucket was huge and she capitalized on a busted play and hit the shot as the buzzer sounded.  The second half was similar to the first with the Lady Cougars finishing on top 49-40.  Morgan Bridgeforth had 6 points all in the first quarter and Grate finished with 18 on the night.  Maria Puniello and Mia Haynes had 6 and 5 points respectively.  Clutch rebounding on the offensive end allowed the Lady Cougars to keep their lead the entire game.  TEMS is  back in action tomorrow when they host Charger from Sage Park after school.  Congrats on the win ladies.
  • The boys basketball team held off East Hartford Middle School to get their second win of the season, 41-39.  The Cougars made clutch free throws to ice the game.  Hard defense throughout the game and unselfish play on offense led the wire to wire victory. Timothy Edwards is heading to Windsor on Thursday to take on Sage Park.  
  • Attention students who wish to attend the TE Girls Basketball game tomorrow...you can sign up tonight starting at 6pm. Go to the TE website and click on the registration link.

  • The TE Outdoor Education club is hosting a trip to South Windsor Arena to go ice skating. All students are welcome to come out and enjoy a session of skating with their friends. The trip will take place on Wednesday, January 25th from 3:30-5:20 and costs $15. This fee includes transportation to the arena and rental skates. Students will need to arrange for a ride home at 5:20 pm from South Windsor Arena. For more information and to sign up, please contact Sr. Gandia-Torres or Mr. Bartolotta.

  • Welcome back to another edition of TETV Morning News. Today is Wednesday, January 4.
  • Do you have ideas about how to improve TE? Do you want to improve your leadership skills? If you answered yes to those questions, you should run in the elections for student council. Joining the student council gives you an opportunity to be a leader at TEMS. You will help plan school wide activities, participate in community projects, and generate new ideas.  Each homeroom will select a representative for student council. Your homeroom teacher will be giving you access to a Google form. Interested students should fill out the form to enter into the election. In the form, you will answer the questions: Why do you want to be a student council representative? What makes you different from other candidates? Students who are interested in being their homeroom’s representative must fill out the Google Form to answer these questions by the end of the school day on Friday January 6th .  On Thursday January 12th, your homeroom will read each candidate’s answers to those questions and vote! If you have any questions please email Ms. Sullivan or Ms. Bouquot or see them in the Lime hallway for more information.
  • Attention all Entertainers cast and crew. Please be sure to check the Google Classroom to see the schedule for this week. All cast- remember to bring a 1" binder to rehearsal so you can get your paper script!
  • Attention students who wish to attend TE basketball games.  To sign up to attend a game, you must fill out a basketball attendance Google form.  The Google form will be posted on the TE website the day before the game at 6pm.  There are a limited number of spectators that will be allowed to attend the game so sign up as soon as possible if you plan on attending.  Be on the lookout tonight for the sign up form for Thursday's game.  The form will be located on the TEMS homepage. 
  • Calling all writers, poets, and artists.  A reminder that Out of the Blue will kick off our 2023 year with a meeting in Ms. Olsen's room, 222, in the Scarlet hallway on Monday January 9.  We hope to see you there!  Please join our Google Classroom using code kt4s2xc if you plan to attend.

  • Welcome back to another edition of TETV Morning News. Today is Wednesday, December 21.
  • Last Friday 87 students competed in the MathCounts in-school competition. The top 8 students will represent TEMS at the Chapter competition to be held at the University of Hartford in February.  Girish Prasad, Ishan Agarwal, Akhil Shunmugaraja and Gian Handa will represent TEMS as our TEAM of 4. Aarav Pruthi, Karthik Srikumar, Satvik Koppu and Eshaan Dey will compete as individuals. Henry Venne and Jude Pohl will be alternates. A shout out to our very own Mr. Clifton, who bravely competed against these very talented mathletes.  He scored an honorable mention! Congratulations to all for a job well done!
  • The Timothy Edwards girls basketball team tipped off the season last night taking on the Rams of Illing in a CRAL battle. With butterflies in their stomach the Cougars came out red hot and blitzed the Rams in the first quarter and never looked back. Leading the way for the Lady Cougars was Kai Grate with 18 points on the night. Emery Forko, Teagan Purcell, and Keira Dietelbaum, the three captains, guided the Lady Cougars all night. Maria Piniello chipped in a cool nine points, as did Shea Brochu. The Lady Cougars won in all aspects of the game, meaning, rebounding, fast break points, steals, and overall team defending and hustle. The Lady Cougars travel to Suffield, tonight, to take on the wild cats. Keep up the great work girls. 
  • The boys basketball lost their first game of the season 54-29 in a hard fought game on Tuesday against Illing Middle School.  The Cougars trailed 23-17 at halftime but Illing started the second half strong and took a commanding lead. Late in the third quarter TE went on a run to cut the lead to 13 going into the 4th. Manchester maintained the lead throughout the 4th quarter to finish the game. The Cougars play again today at home against Suffield and look to get their first win of the season.
  • Attention students who will be attending basketball games this year at TEMS.  You will be dismissed from your last period class when all buses have been called.  At this time, you will proceed to B common area where you will sign in with the game supervisor.  You will need to arrive promptly after the last bus is called.  Late arrivals will not be allowed to enter the gym unless you have a pass from one of your teachers. You may take the late bus home at 4:05pm on Mondays, Wednesdays or Thursdays or you can be picked up by a parent at 4:45pm.  
  • The Teen Center is open for drop-in hours on Tuesday afternoons 3-5:30pm and Friday nights 6-9pm located at 150 Nevers Road. The Teen Center now offers transportation from TE to the Teen Center after school on Tuesday afternoons for drop-in hours. Students will meet Miss Danielle at the main entrance of the school when called at dismissal. Don't forget to register ahead of time by saving your space on sign-up genius or by contacting Miss Danielle. The Teen Center is open during Winter Break for drop-in hours on Tuesday, December 27th from 1-3:30pm. Come join us for a movie, lunch, games, and fun during vacation. Join us to watch the Avengers on Tuesday, January 10th or Iron Man on Friday, January 27th from 6-8pm! We will have a variety of candy and popcorn available for $1! We are having a BINGO night on Friday, January 13th from 6:30-7:30pm! Register if you want to have the opportunity to win prizes and have some fun! Have you ever come up with an invention that you wish you could actually create? Join us on Kid Inventor's Day Tuesday, January 17th for a Shark Tank event at the Teen Center from 3:30-5pm. Register to participate individually or with a partner, and propose your creation to our panel of judges. Out of the Blue is a nationally award winning magazine that features the great poems, short stories, drawings, photos, and comic strips of TEMS students.   • Welcome back to another edition of TETV Morning News. Today is Wednesday, December 14.
  • Next week is our Winter Spirit week. Each day we will have a spirit theme, starting with Disney Day on Monday, Tuesday is Blast from the Past Day, and Wednesday is Comfy/Cozy Day. Thursday we will wear our Best Outfits to celebrate the New Year, and we will end the week with Festive Sweater Friday. We hope everyone participates and makes the week leading into break a little more fun. 
  • Attention all students who enjoy the outdoors. The TE Outdoor Education Club is taking a hike this Saturday  December 17th from 8am to 2pm. Students will meet at TE and then take a bus over to Case Mountain in Manchester. Students will hike to the summit with Senor Gandia-Torres and Mr. Bartolotta. Price is $10 per student and you will need to bring your own packed lunch. Grab a permission slip from Sr. G or Mr. B in rooms 361 or room 121. Spots are limited to 30 students so sign up today.
  • The Teen Center Toy Drive event is this week today, Wednesday, and Thursday from 4-6pm at the Community Center. Our volunteers will be handing out hot chocolate to thank you for your generous donations. If you are not able to make it during those hours, we have now added a donation box in the main lobby for you to drop off your gift. Thank you for your generosity!

  • Attention Entertainers cast and crew: today is the first readthrough of the script!! Come to Alt 6 when all students are dismissed. We will be done in time for late buses.
  • Attention all fall athletes...team photos are in.  Please see your coach to pick them up. Girls soccer and Girls Cross Country...please stop down to the gym to pick up your photos.  
  • This Friday, December 9 is PJ Day for the Kids, a fundraiser created to support children at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center (CCMC) who wear their PJs for long periods of time while receiving treatment. If you would like to participate in this event please feel free to wear PJs or a flannel to school and donate $1 or more towards this statewide initiative. Donations can be made online using this link, or cash will be collected by homeroom teachers all this week. Please no blankets or stuffed animals on Friday.

  • Welcome back to another edition of TETV Morning News. Today is Wednesday, November 30.
  • Attention to all 7th graders auditioning for Entertainers, auditions are TODAY after school! Report to the auditorium after all students are dismissed. Have a ride home at 405 or take a late bus at that time. Auditions for 6th graders are TOMORROW. See you then!
  • A reminder from the cafeteria, the school district will be transitioning from Free to Paid Meals starting tomorrow, December 1st.
  • Attention students interested in joining the TETV news staff, Auditions for second quarter anchors will be held today afterschool until 4pm. Interested participants will read through a daily news script to try out. See you after school today in room 375.
  • Attention 7th Graders…. The Neon Dance is this Friday, December 2nd. This is a chance for all of 7th grade to come together and have some fun. So get out your brightest outfit and join us! Tickets are $10 and available through your homeroom teacher. Students attending must also complete the Dance Google Form. Prizes will be awarded for both the best individual and group Neon Outfits. Can’t wait to see you all there!
  • The Teen Center Youth Council volunteer group is hosting a Holiday Toy Drive to support those in need this holiday season. Please consider donating an unwrapped toy to support a neighbor in need, Monday, December 12th through Thursday, December 15th between 4-6pm at the Community Center. Our volunteers will be handing out hot chocolate to thank you for your generous donations. The Teen Center will also be hosting a painting workshop during winter break. On Tuesday, December 27th from 10-12pm you can join us to paint a winter northern lights theme. Register on Eventbrite with the link below or scan the QR Code on the flyer to save a space! https://www.eventbrite.com/e/465242261127 As a reminder, the Teen Center is open for middle school students on Tuesdays from 3-5:30pm and Friday night’s 6-9pm. We now provide transportation from TE to the Teen Center drop-in hours on Tuesday’s after school.   • Good morning everyone, please stand for the pledge of allegiance. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands one nation, under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all. Please be seated.
  • Welcome back to another edition of TETV Morning News. Today is Wednesday, November 23.
  • Attention students interested in joining the TETV news staff, Auditions for second quarter anchors will be held next Wednesday, November 30 afterschool until 4pm. Interested participants will read through a daily news script to try out. See you next week.
  • Attention 7th Graders: The Neon Dance will be next Friday, December 2nd. This is your first dance of the year, and a chance for all of 7th grade to come together and have some fun. So get out your brightest outfit and join us! Tickets are $10 and available through your homeroom teacher. Students attending must also complete the Dance Google Form. Prizes will be awarded for both the best individual and group Neon Outfits. Can’t wait to see you there!
  • All those interested in Entertainers: Remember to fill out the sign up form in the Google Classroom *AND* bring your $30 participation fee to Mrs. Leveille or Ms. Carver by tomorrow , Wednesday Nov 23!! Join the google Classroom using code :vkhbmk3
  • Attention all boys and girls, we are excited to announce tryouts for the 2022-2023 TEMS cheer sideline and competition team.  Cheer tryouts are open to both girls and boys and will be held on 11/28, 11/30, and 12/1 from 2:40-4 pm in the small gym.  Please see the TEMS athletic page for registration details.  If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Edwards.
  • Attention all students interested in trying out for the TEMS Basketball teams this winter. Boys tryouts will be held November 28th and 29th - 2:45 - 4:00. Also on December 2nd if necessary. Girls tryouts will be held November 30th and December 1st - 2:45 - 4:00.  Also possibly on December 2nd. Report to the main gym upon dismissal.  All attendees must have a ride for 4:00 or take the late bus.  Late buses are not available on November 29th.  Please make the necessary arrangements to be picked up for 4:00.  Students should wear athletic clothing and basketball shoes for tryouts.  
  • Lost and Found is full, and it is full of your belongings. Please stop by the main lobby at some point this week to check for lost or missing items. Items will be displayed until the end of the day today, and then the lost and found will be cleared. Make sure you stop by to double check for your items.
