  • Hey TE! Are you ready to transform TE into a FUN ZONE? The TE Change Leaders are throwing an epic Activity Night on March 22nd from 6 - 8pm, with ticket sales beginning today Monday, March 18th! Get ready to: Bust a move on the dance floor! Challenge your friends to awesome games! Chill out with friends at the movies! Rock some cool face paint, henna and temporary tattoos! Space is limited, so grab your ticket during your lunch waves! We even have V.I.P sections for those very important peeps!! Click the link in your Google Classroom to reserve your ticket today! Don't forget to bring your friends, a big smile, and a heart ready for some serious fun supporting a great cause!
  • Out of the Blue will meet after school today in room 222.  Please bring your Chromebook and Ms. Olsen looks forward to seeing you there!  And to our whole TE family, we still want you to share your great work.  To give you some inspiration, here is an amazing painting by Divya Nukavarapu from the Scarlet team.  We are so amazed by her spectacular work!  Stay tuned all week to see other amazing submissions by other TE students.
  • Attention baseball players...tryouts for grades 6th and 7th only will take place on Tuesday, March 26th and Wednesday, March 27th from 2:45 to 4:30. 8th Graders Only will tryout on: Monday, April 1st and Wednesday, April 3rd from 2:45 to 4:30. Please see the TE website for more information.
  • Track and Field tryouts will be held the first week of April.  Boys and girls will try out together.  8th grade will be on April 1st, 7th grade on April 3rd and 6th grade on April 4th.  Please make sure you are registered and your physical is up to date.
  • Softball tryouts are going to held on April 1st, 3rd, and 4th until 4pm.  You can get more information in the main gym or see Mrs. Giaccone.
  • We are back with Women’s History Month celebrations. Today we will highlight the inspiration that was Maya Angelou.  Here is a quick video that details her contributions to our great nation and the English language. All month we will feature highlights of Women who made an impact in society. Link to Video
  • 7th and 8th graders you will have the opportunity to join Ms. Mills being part of the Expressions Group. This will be a free after school opportunity to engage and have fun being creative in expressing who you are! Signup form will be located in the guidance suite,  last day for signups will be Tuesday March 19th. See flier for details.
  • You can earn purple ROAR tickets all month long by demonstrating Respect, Ownership, Acceptance, and Resilience. To enter to win prizes, put your first and last name and team on the ticket and place tickets in the box next to the safety desk. Drawings will be announced Fridays all month long. Just as a reminder, try to show all the qualities of ROAR. You may even be lucky enough to earn a free ticket to the upcoming Under the Sea activity night hosted by the T.E. Change Leaders.

  • Welcome back to another edition of TETV Morning News. Today is Friday, March 15.
  • Please wish the Science Olympiad students well for tomorrow's competition. Schools from across the state will be there to try and win medals for the 23 events and possibly a chance to go to the national competition. Good Luck Science Olympians!
  • TE, Out of the Blue still needs you!  Please submit your short stories, poems, drawings, paintings, comic strips, photography, etc. to Ms. Olsen in order to have it be included in the magazine.  We can't wait to see your talents!  Also, club members, this is a reminder that we will meet on Monday 3/18 after school.

  • Do you want to support Children with Type 1 Diabetes? And do you want to have fun while doing it? If so, be sure to buy tickets to our upcoming Under the Sea activity night. The activity night will occur on March 22nd from 6-8 PM. Some activities we will have are a movie, a dance, crafts, face painting, and henna. General admission tickets cost $10, while VIP tickets cost $15, in which you will receive extra benefits. Be sure to get your tickets! TE Change Leaders is also looking for teacher chaperones for the Under The Sea Activity Night Event next week on March 22nd. Please contact Ms. Bynoe on the Emerald Team if you are interested.

  • Attention Science Olympiad members! We are in the final stretch before our competition this Saturday. We will meet today, Thursday, after school. Any builds that need to be transported by Mrs. Bajorek to the competition must be delivered to school by Friday morning. Be sure to attend this final important meeting for information and T-shirts. More detailed information is posted on our Science Olympiad Google Classroom. Look forward to seeing everyone participate in the competition!

  • Welcome back to another edition of TETV Morning News. Today is Monday, March 11.
  • Saturday was an exciting day for the TE MathCounts team as they competed in the State tournament.  The team of Girish Prasad, Gian Handa, Aarav Pruthi and Henry Venne calculated their way to victory, beating out all other teams statewide!   Girish (the G.O.A.T.) qualified to move on to the National Competition. This is the second time that TE has won the state title.  Girish is the first person in TE history to qualify for Nationals, not once, but twice! Congratulations to Girish, Gian, Aarav, Henry and Ishan Agarwal on their incredible achievements.  
  • 7th and 8th graders you will have the opportunity to join Ms. Mills being part of the Expressions Group.   • A big thank you to students and staff who voted in Round 1 of the 2024 March Madness Book Bracket. Please continue to cast your vote in round 2 by clicking on the March Madness Book Bracket link on the main LMC.  Voting for round two will end on Thursday, March 14. You don’t have to have read the books; just vote for the title whose summary sounds the most interesting.  If you are interested in any of the titles, come to the library to check out the print copy or go to Destiny Discover to check out the eBook or e-audio. Don’t get left out on the sidelines; make sure you have your say in this year’s March Madness book winner! Also, the T.E. Change Leaders are excited to announce that they're giving away two free general admission tickets for an upcoming activity night!   • Welcome back to another edition of TETV Morning News. Today is Wednesday, March 6.
  • Wrapping up the listing of winners from last Saturday's History Day Contest at UCONN, today we will focus on Documentaries. In the Individual Documentary Category, Yilin Lin brought home 4th Place Honorable Mention honors for her film, Lyle Dresser was awarded 3rd place for his documentary and Ishanvi Mohapatra walked away with the gold medal for her 1st place film. In the Group Documentary Category, the team of Neel Pandit and Atharv Save received bronze medals for their 3rd place entry. Congratulations once again to all History Day participants and good luck to all the TEMS students who advanced to the Connecticut History Day Contest on May 4th!

  • Welcome back to another edition of TETV Morning News. Today is Tuesday, March 5.
  • Continuing the announcement regarding winners from Saturday's History Day Contest at UCONN, let's turn to the Performance Category. In the Individual Performance Category, Lily Flynn took 4th place honors, Emma O'Brien was awarded 3rd place honors and Asmi Kulkarni received the top prize for most outstanding solo performance. In the Group Performance Category, the team of Anvi Panat, Sai Reddy and Aadya Yadav came in 3rd place. Congrats to all these students who automatically advance to the state contest. Tomorrow, we will wrap up our final announcement with the last group of History Day medalists.

  • On Saturday, March 2nd, some members of CougarTHON went to UCONN to participate in their annual HuskyTHON dance marathon, and to present our total fundraising contributions.  We had an amazingly successful first year together and we couldn't have done it without all of you!  We want to thank you all for coming together to help us Build The Moment this year at TE to help put an end to childhood illness. We are so proud to announce that CougarTHON raised a total of $6,660 this year!!!!! Thank you again, and we can't wait to come back next year, have some fun, and help this amazing cause.

Don't miss out on this underwater adventure brought to life on stage! Tickets are $10 for both students and adults, but we have special pricing available: $5 for individuals aged 65 and older and children 5 and under. Be sure to show your support for our talented TEMS students who are involved in the production, whether they're shining on stage or working behind the scenes to make magic happen! If you're a fan of the beloved movie "Finding Nemo," you're in for a treat with the musical version featuring all your favorite characters! While tickets will be available at the door on the night of performances, we encourage you not to wait, as we anticipate a high demand and possible sell-outs! Mark your calendars for the show dates: Thursday, March 7th; Friday, March 8th; and Saturday, March 9th at 7 pm, with an additional matinee performance on Saturday the 9th at 1 pm.   • Do you have an artifact, dance, song, food, or other product from your culture that you would like to share with our school community? Then your family should sign up to share a booth at international night. Families will have a table to set up their booth and share their culture in the cafeteria on April 4 starting at 5:30pm. If you have something you would like to share, please have a parent or guardian fill out the google form on TEMS website to RSVP for a booth! Interested in seeing the displays but not having a booth?   • Hello, Cougars! We are now announcing the animals advancing to the next round, which is the FINALS!!!! Aladdin might have his "magic lamp", but Panini beat him! Go, Panini! Do it for the dogs! And the sandwiches! Finn goes for the win!!! Hooray, oops, I did something wrong. BOOTZ kicked Finn down with his powerful boots! Man, I want a pair of boots too! Congratulations to our finalists, Bootz and Panini! Congrats to EVERY ANIMAL who advanced to the semi finals! That sure is far! Let's see which animal wins and takes the prize of the "Honorary Animal" certificate and a bunch of tennis balls! Vote in the finals NOW! The Honorary Animal of Animal Lovers Winter Matinee will be disclosed...tomorrow! Stay tuned!

  • It’s time to start casting your votes to determine the 2024 March Madness Book Brackets Winner! Check out and vote on the 8 book match-ups on the LMC page under the March Madness Book Bracket link. You don’t have to have read the books you are voting on; just vote for the title whose summary sounds the most interesting. The first round of voting will end on Friday, March 8Th at noon. Don’t get left out on the sidelines; make sure you have your say in this year’s March Madness book winner!
  • On Saturday, TE students joined students from dozens of the other Connecticut schools at the 2024 Mansfield Regional History Day Contest at UCONN. Today we will highlight medalists in the Junior Individual Website Category and the Junior Individual Paper Category. In the individual Website category, Kaelyn Bates took home a 4th place medal, Aarna Jaggi received a 2nd place medal and Aaron Aldrin took home the gold with his 1st Place medal. In the Research Paper category, Oliver Hennessey received the 4th place medal, Rachel Mathew won a 3rd place medal and THE Emma Hennessey topped all other entries walking away with the 1st place gold medal. Come back tomorrow when even more History Day winners are announced!
  • Congrats to our TEMS Cheerleaders on their first-place finish this weekend at the Middle School Mania competition!  The team scored so high that they beat many local high school teams in recent competitions, scoring 72 points out of 100!  This is the highest score that TEMS has had in many years!  The girls received outstanding ability scores in their stunts, pyramid, dance, technique, and tumbling, with a personal shoutout from a judge to 8th grade Zoe Bailey, the only cheerleader at the competition who threw a full.  They were above average with motions and jumps.  Way to represent TEMS.  Great job, ladies!

Come join us on International Night on April 4th from 6-8pm! It’s going to be an awesome experience!   • Good morning Cougars. We are excited to be launching ROAR Madness starting today March 1st. During ROAR Madness, teachers will be recognizing students who are showing Respect, Ownership, Acceptance and Resilience with purple tickets all month long. Students can then place them in the big raffle bucket during lunch waves with their names on them. Each Friday we draw names and will announce students who have been recognized. Students will also get to choose a prize from this menu. We look forward to ROARING through March together!
  • Attention Science Olympiad members. With the competition approaching we will have special meetings this Saturday from 11:00am to 2 pm with Ms. Bynoe and next Saturday 11:00 -2 with Ms. Bajorek. Please look at posts in our Google Classroom for more details.

  • Good luck to our Cougar Cheerleading team as they travel to Oxford High School this afternoon for their competition.  The team, led by captains Maddie Osorio, Jocelyn Veillieux, Carina Alicia, and Aubrey Pugrab, will go up against 9 other middle schools, and the captains, along with 7th grader Emily St. Arnauld, will compete in a stunt competition.  Good luck, ladies!
  • Hello, Cougars! We will now be announcing which animals are advancing to the SEMI-FINALS!!!Aladdin beat Sterling and advanced easily! Looks like his magic lamp really works! Panini used his sandwich power to beat Carina! I'll need to order some more celebratory paninis.....Bootz beat Tweed with his tough boots! All chinchillas are eliminated now! Goodbye, chinchilla crew! And finally, Finn beat Linus the Cat with his cuteness and beautiful tongue that's sticking out! Hooray, Finn, Aladdin, Panini, and Bootz! Congrats to you, and to the animals that lost, congratulations for at least beating one round. The finals will be announced on Monday! Stay tuned, and get your votes in quick for the semi-finals!
