The Lady Cougars basketball team was back in action last night taking on the JFK Patriots from Enfield. TE was on fire to start the game and exploded to a 13-4 1st quarter lead. Captains Erin Martin and Avery Brochu, who scored 10 points on the night, helped balance the attack, while Sam Roux and Mia Ruiz chipped in 4 points on the night. Izzy Dzubin worked tirelessly on the boards and added 6 well deserved points, while Caroline Cavanaugh added 2. Morgan Bridgeforth had 4 points and Kailyn Grate scored her first points at home by adding 6 to the Lady Cougars 42 points overall...The final score was 42-26 in favor of the Lady Cougars, a win that was well deserved. Next game for the Lady Cougars is tonight at Ellington. Good luck ladies.

The boys' basketball team was able to get their first win of the season on Tuesday 54-30. A balanced offensive attack and a stifling defense led to a 42-12 halftime lead. The Cougars now have a record of 1-1.
