TE Morning News - November 4, 2019
  • The boys cross country team completed their excellent season on Saturday morning by taking home the trophy for 5th place team in the state in the large school division.   Colin Grip ran a great race to finish 38th place in the state out of over 1000 runners competing in all boys races. Àidan Walsh, Carlo Papa, Max Plunske, Ollie Durbois, Ethan Burke and Sean Habeeb all qualified to run in the championship race and ran tough races over the sloppy 2.3 mile course to help the team to its best finish in years. Finn Jennings had quite a race to finish in 10th in the B race, with Evan Czaja, Blake Wool and Junior Heredia also receiving medals for top 50 finishes. Congratulations to the team for a great season!

  • November is here and it is now time for many of the male Timothy Edwards staff members to start growing beards, mustaches and other fun facial hair artistry!  The idea behind "No Shave November...formerly known as Movember" is to start the conversation about fighting different types of cancers and raising some money to help people who are fighting these terrible diseases.  To make this fun, students get to purchase tickets which will act as votes for your favorite participating male TE staff members.  Every ticket you purchase will go into a drawing in which we will be giving away custom painted hydro-flasks!  Who will be this year's "No Shave November" championship team??? Which staff member will be the overall grand champion???  Who will win the hydro-flasks??? YOU THE STUDENTS OF TIMOTHY EDWARDS MIDDLE SCHOOL WILL DECIDE!
  • The Outdoor Ed. Club is taking a hike at Valley Falls in Vernon this Wednesday.  Stop by the main office, or see Mr. Wilkinson or Ms. Nelson for a form.

  • The girls cross country team wrapped up their season with a 10th place finish at the Wickham Park state championship Saturday. Six TE runners earned medals by finishing in the top 50. This included Morgan Caron, Sophia Gordon, Grace Smith, Caroline Cavanaugh, and Chiara Papa who finished in 8th of 296 B racers. Shennyn Giannelli placed 44th of 377 A racers which included the top 7 runners from schools all over the state, also earning a top 50 medal.  Riley Baker wasn't intimidated by the intense A race competition as she beat her time from last year by over a minute and moved up 70 places. Rachael Richard showed no mercy on Wickham Park's muddy hills as she powered through the finish of her final middle school race. Great job to all runners and to all that came to support TE. Congratulations on an awesome season to both teams!
