  • Yesterday, the 2025 National History Day Contest concluded with an exciting Awards Ceremony and Timothy Edwards Middle School students received recognition after recognition, starting with: 6th Grader Lillian Magnoli was a top ten finalist in the Junior Individual Research Paper Category. Not to be outdone, 7th grader Aarna Jaggi was also a top ten finalist in the Junior Individual Website Category. And, as previously mentioned, the 8th grade trio of Lily Flynn, Emma O'Brien and Emma Hennessey were top ten finalists in the Junior Group Performance Category. They performed brilliantly on Tuesday night in the Hoff Theater on the campus of UMD. Rounding out the Awards was the 6th grade duo of Vyom Kadeongar and Vivaan Pandey who received the George Washington Leadership in History Special Prize for their Junior Group Documentary. Congratulations to all these incredible students and their outstanding History Day projects!! Now, it is time to look ahead to the 2026 NHD Contest with the theme of Revolution, Reaction, Reform in History.
