• Good morning everyone, please stand for the pledge of allegiance. I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation, under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all. Please be seated. Welcome back to another edition of TETV Morning News. Today is Monday, May 19.

• On Friday afternoon, the TEMS Cougars baseball team overpowered the Windsor Locks Wildcats with a decisive, 14-0 victory. In the bottom of the first inning, the Cougars came out swinging and never looked back, scoring 8 runs in the frame. That was more than enough for Colin LeDoux.  The crafty right-hander was simply untouchable on the mound, striking out an impressive 8 Wildcat batters while allowing only a single hit throughout the game. The win improves Ledoux's record to a perfect, 5-0 on the season. While Ledoux held the Wildcats' offense in check, the Cougars' bats were equally potent. Connor Moskites, Ledoux, and Will Baron each tallied two hits. Moskites drove in 3 runs, while Baron contributed one. Dom Caputo, Torin Edwards, and Landon LeRoy each had singles for TE.  With the win, the Cougars continue their undefeated streak, improving their season record to an impressive 11-0. The victory solidifies their first-place position in the league standings.  TE will face the Wildcats again on Tuesday, this time on the Wildcats' home field. Let's go Cougars!

•  Hellooooo, Cougars! Cougar Chronicles is back with their 4th issue, and they have an even wider variety of items! You can pick from wonderful articles, artwork, stories, etc.! We even have fun games you can play at the end of the newspaper! We have everything for everyone! Teachers, please post the link to the Cougar Chronicles in your Google Classroom! •  Please be aware that Out of the Blue will NOT be meeting after school today.  All students should go home on their regular bus.  All students should also be sure to tell KJ how awesome he is! 

•  Attention all chorus students:  Please remember to bring your Chromebook AND earbuds to chorus today. Again, all chorus students should report to chorus today with their charged Chromebook and earbuds.

•  Attention all Band Members, all of Mr. Marci’s lessons have been cancelled for today.  Please remain in your regular encore classes.  If you have band class today, please be sure to bring your Chromebook and headphones with you as you will have an assignment that needs to be completed.

•  Attention all members of the Sports Memorabilia Madness club; today's after school meeting is being moved to Thursday after school.

•  Helloooooo, Cougars. We want you to listen very, very carefully because TE Change Leaders is hosting a wonderful Twin Day on May 23rd, next Friday! You can find your bestie and twin with them in any sort of way, and it will be fun for all! We’re doing this all for cerebral palsy, a serious disorder that affects many people worldwide, restricting their movement and preventing them from living the life that they deserve. Even though donations are optional, we encourage everyone to donate to this important cause to change lives in our community. Donations can be given to your homeroom teacher next week from May 19th till Twin Day, May 23rd. So Cougars, we hope you decide to twin with your bestie twin, to support our important cause! After all, we want to make those people with cerebral palsy smile.
