  • It’s that time of year again- time to take part in helping choose the 2025 Nutmeg Book Award winners.  The Nutmeg Book Award is chosen by students in grades 4 to 8 throughout the state and represents our state book award. You must have read at least one or more of the current Nutmeg nominees in either the Intermediate or Middle School category to be eligible to vote AND can only vote once per category. Voting will start today, April 3rd,  and end on Thursday, April 24th. Cast your vote online by visiting the main LMC page or ask your ELA teacher to post the voting links I’ve shared with them on Classroom. Make sure you have a say in this year’s Nutmeg Book Award Winner.
  • Out of the Blue will meet after school on Monday in room 222.  Since this is our last meeting before submissions are due, please make sure that club members are bringing their assigned completed submission to this meeting. Remember that we are counting on you! And to all members of our TE family!  We want your brilliant writing and artwork in our magazine.  Please submit any poem, short story, drawing, painting, photography, comic strip, etc., to Ms. Olsen to be included in our Nationally Award winning magazine.  Deadline is Monday April 21 so use your April break when you have lots of extra time to get those final pieces done.  The ones that have been submitted so far are amazing!
