• Welcome back to another edition of TETV Morning News. Today is Friday, January 31.

• The boys basketball team traveled to Vernon Middle School to take on the Eagles. A strong start with 20 points in the first quarter helped the Cougars get off to a fast start and beat Vernon Middle School 63-43. The boys held the Eagles to 3 points in the second and never looked back.  8 three pointers and some easy transition buckets helped build the big lead.  The Cougars are 9-0 and are playing Illing on Friday at home and looking to secure the number 1 seed for the playoffs.

• It was another good night on the hardwood for the Lady Cougars and once again, they didn't disappoint.  After a slow start to the contest, TE picked it up in the final three quarters taking the "W" with a 50-17 victory.  In the second, the Lady Cougars were draining threes as Maddie Carpenter sank three and Olivia Dzubin made one as well.  The 19 point second quarter allowed TE to establish their dominance and they didn't look back.  Onto the second half, where Raegan Burnham, Aleks Gogic, Leighton Edwards, Mia Leroy and Eliana Beakal all had at least one bucket in the third quarter to extend the Lady Cougars lead.  The fourth quarter was yet another good one for TE.  Beakal scored four more buckets to establish her career high, as well as the game high with 10 points.  The Lady Cougars travel to Illing today to take on the Rams to see who stays atop the conference standings.  Good luck ladies.

So, get wrapped up in love at our middle school Valentine's Day sale—it's the perfect way to show you care!

• Good Morning, Cougars! T.E. Change Leaders would like to announce the final 3 winners of our January Enter2Win fundraiser! Let's get started….winning a lunch bunch is Riley Rhodes!!!! Next up: Winning a snack, Aaradhya Anabi and winning the 20 dollar gift card, Mia Delaney on Team Cobalt! All winners should see Ms. Bynoe in room 235 on Emerald Team to pick up their prizes! • Attention all softball players.  Mrs. Giaccone is running a softball clinic here at TE in March.  There are 4 sessions.  Please visit the South Windsor Recreation Department to sign up or pick up a flyer in the main gym.  There are only 16 spots available. 

• Attention any 8th grader interested in auditioning for the award winning South Windsor High School Show choir-- Choral Spectrum.  Join the audition Google Classroom, using code QEOTVRL. See Mrs. Gasta with any questions.

• Attention All Middle Schoolers! Do you want to be part of an amazing and creative project for Black History Month?  This is your chance to team up with Ms. Mills for a fun and meaningful experience! • Hey 7^th graders! You are  looking for something new to try during WIN? Do you want to have fun doing projects and crafting, while improving your confidence? If yes, join Mrs. Reed and Ms. Mills on Tuesdays for “Confidence Boosters”! This 5 week program will be filled with activities, games, and discussions that promote self-awareness, positive thinking and resilience. Let’s celebrate YOU! Sign up in the Counseling Office by Friday.
