  • The girls hoops team was on the hardwood once again last night taking on the Lady Falcons of East Hartford.  The Lady Cougars were challenged a bit more then any other game this year, but they came out on top 41-30.  Led by Starbucks earning Emily Keegan, who set a career high with 13 points, the Lady Cougars jumped out to a 16-1 lead after one quarter.  However, East Hartford clawed their way back into the game in the second with a fierce press that left the Cougars rattled.  East Hartford closed the gap to 21-16 at the half.  In the third quarter, TE pressed their way into a more sizable lead with Elise Glunt, Emmi Tushe and Olivia Dzubin all contributing to the scoring; Maddie Carpenter drained a three for her only bucket of the game too.  A stout defense helped guide the Lady Cougars in the second half as they came away with the victory.  The undefeated Lady Cougars play host to Vernon on Thursday.  Come out and cheer on the girls.
  • The TE boys basketball team have continued their winning ways.  On Monday the Cougars took on Ellington Middle School and finished them off 45-21. They held Ellington to a single digit scoring all 4 quarters. On Tuesday, the Cougars traveled to East Hartford Middle School to take on the Falcons. The boys lead by 13 at half and after a quick run by east Hartford to cut the lead to 9, the Cougars pressure defense and 7 three pointers lead to a 61-36 victory.  The boys put their 8-0 record on the line when they travel to Vernon Middle School on Thursday.
