  • The TEMS Girls Hoops team opened the season with a bang last night beating Ellington 60-13.  The Lady Cougars defense was relentless which caused several turnovers leading to easy baskets.  TE was led by Maddie Carpenter, Emily Keegan and Emma Rutkauskas each with 8 points.  Setting the tone early was key to the victory...Elise Glunt, Olivia Dzubin, and Emmi Tushe helped spark an early run in the first quarter putting the Lady Cougars up for good.  "It was a good game to start with," Coach Chandler said. "It's going to tougher from here on out...but I think the ladies are up for the challenge," he added.  Up next, the Lady Cougars travel to Tolland on Wednesday afternoon for a 3:45 tip against the Lady Eagles.  Good luck ladies!
