- Animal Lover's back with this year's Bracket Tournament! We've gotten new creatures from the Protector of Animals for TE to vote on! - Attention all budding stars and backstage wizards! Calling all singers, dancers, and performers! And don't forget the techies, the builders, and the costume designers! The Entertainers informational meeting for anyone interested in participating in this year's musical stage production will be one week from today, on Thursday, Nov. 21. Don't miss your chance to shine on stage or behind the scenes! See you in the auditorium after school!
- Hey 6th graders! We are extending the sign up date for “Mood Boosters” until Friday, Nov. 15th! Emerald and Lime will be together from 8:05-8:45 and Evergreen and Sage will be together from 9:05-9:45 – so ask a friend from a partner team and join “Mood Boosters” with Mrs. Reed and Ms. Mills! We will spend our time learning ways to lower stress and relax using art and calming activities! To sign up, just stop by the Counseling Office by November 15th. Space is limited, so don’t wait! Join “Mood Boosters” and start the day with positive vibes.
- Join us at the Teen Center for an afternoon of mystery, food and fun on November 16, 2024 from 3pm-5:30pm. Each course will bring new clues and your children will play an interactive part in trying to solve the mystery. You must register for this event. We will provide the turkey and the fixings! - Cheerleading tryouts will take place on December 2nd and December 4th. It is important for all girls to attend on Monday to learn the tryout material in order to be eligible for Wednesday's tryout. If any students have conflicts or concerns, please direct them to see Mrs. Edwards in room 302.
- From November 18-22, CougarTHON will be hosting a Penny Wars fundraiser to benefit the children at Connecticut Children's Hospital. It's a great opportunity for our school community to come together and make a positive impact! Teams will compete to collect the most pennies, while also accepting dollar bills and other coins. Remember, every cent counts! The winning team will be rewarded with a movie day in the auditorium, so get ready to rally your friends and support a worthy cause. Let’s make a difference together!
- Girls basketball tryouts will be held on Monday, November 25th from 2:45- 4:00; Monday, December 2nd from 2:45 - 4:00 and December 9th, if necessary again from 2:45 - 4:00. All paperwork must be completed prior to the tryouts dates. No Exceptions. All tryouts will be in the main gym. Please wear comfortable clothing and basketball shoes (or sneakers). All players must have a ride home at 4:00.
- Boys Basketball tryouts will take place on November 26 and December 4 immediately after school until 4 pm. Please be sure to have all paperwork updated and in the office in order to participate in tryouts. Also be sure to have ride home for 4:00 or make arrangements for the late bus. - The TEMS Robotics Club is gearing up for our 24/25 season. We will hold an informational meeting today, November 14th in the cafeteria following dismissal. The meeting will cover the club dynamics and students will take an interest survey to help select the 54 participants. We look forward to seeing all interested participants today after school in the cafeteria.
- Calling all TE writers! Do you have a story to tell, a world to create, argument to defend, or a poem to share? Every year, the Connecticut Writing Project at UConn celebrates the best young writers in our state. And this year, TE wants you to join the ranks of our over 200 past winners! TE offers dedicated writing sessions where you’ll develop your skills with the help of teachers and peers. This is a space for those who love to let their imaginations soar, to craft new worlds, defend their opinions, or to pour out emotions in verse. The club meets after school from 3 to 4 p.m. Don’t miss these dates:8th Grade Meetings - Mondays, starting on Dec 9, 6th Grade Meetings - Wednesdays starting on Dec 11, 7th Grade Meetings - Thursdays starting Dec 12.
