  • The Timothy Edwards girls soccer team tied Tolland Middle School yesterday 1-1 with a great goal by Aleksa Zajac assisted by Emily Ward. Goalkeeper, Victoria Macchi, kept the Cougars in the game with three amazing saves. Aleksa Zajac earns MVP for her hard work and leadership on the field. Coach B and Coach Sayed would like to give a special shout out to sixth graders Mia LeRoy, Eliana Beakal, and Gianna Ayala for their strong defense and team work. The girls team plays again today at home at 3:45, come out and support!
  • The TE Boys Soccer team was in action last night as they hosted Tolland Middle School in a CRAL contest.  The pitch was rough and the dirt was flying as the ball was played back and forth between the two teams.  TE had countless chances in the first 10 minutes then they finally broke through with a goal from Liam Staroverov.  It was unassisted as he put in his own rebound off the keeper.  Not much else happened until Adam Elsendyouney pounced on a ball played over the top from Roby Sayavong.  The keeper came out but Adam was just about quick enough to nip in front of him and score the goal.  In the second half, Sayavong struck on top bins over the keeper to make it 3-0.  Liam S. would score his second of the game after Dillon Leacu's cross/shot was parried away by the keeper into Liam's feet.  All in all the Cougars were better on the day and the final score of 4-0 was justified.  Congrats to Will Woods and the defense for keeping a clean sheet.  Next game is Wednesday away in Suffield.  Congrats boys.
