  • Welcome back to another edition of TETV Morning News. Today is Thursday, May 25.
  • Good morning Timothy Edwards Middle School. I am Prasun Modi and here is today’s weather report. For today, sunny skies are expected throughout the entire day with temperatures ranging from 44 to 66 degrees. The day will start in the mid 40’s and as the day goes on temperatures will rise up to the high of 66 degrees between 5 and 6pm. For most of the school day, it will stay in between the low 50’s and the low 60’s. There will be winds reaching up to 11 miles per hour and no precipitation. Tonight, the sun will start to set around 8:12pm. I am Prasun Modi and that is today’s weather report. And now for more announcements.
  • The softball team ended their season with a victory over Suffield Middle School with a score of 9 to one.  Amanda Donovan had a couple hits; Alivia Ghila, Gemma Duhamel, and Cassidy Cole had a triple; and Kendall Woods, Julia Baron all added some hits.  Catcher Daphne Specht had her first homerun of the season. Defensively, pitcher Josie Tomkunas had 8 strikeouts and catchers Gemma Duhamel and Daphne Specht played solid defense. Good luck to 8th graders Cassidy Cole and Haily Velasquez as they head to high school.  Great season ladies!
  • Yesterday our very own South Windsor Girls Junior Lacrosse Team won 17-2 over RHAM. With amazing performances from Ella Satalino, Amelia Magnoli, and Venessa Primavera. There was also great defense from Sonia Girouard and Kendal Heath. This game of course was a team effort and couldn’t have been won without goals from Tori Yelle, Kinley Cincotta, Sarah Bonanno, and an outstanding goalie performance from Joanna Halle. Join us next Wednesday at Nevers Park to watch the girls play Suffield.
  • Are you interested in other countries around the world? Do you wanna experience other cultures? On Thursday, June 8th, T.E. students can join us for a TE International Family Night Event from 6-8pm in the cafeteria and auditorium where students and staff can showcase food, dance, music and other elements of your culture. We are looking for students who are interested in volunteering to help run International Night.  This would include doing set up, decorating, or volunteering at a booth doing henna, face painting, origami, etc.  To sign up, or share other ideas of how you could help, please fill out the Google Form posted in your Homeroom Google Classroom ASAP.  See Mr. Ruiz in room 211 or Mrs. Shattuck in 363 with questions.
  • Attention Field Hockey Players interested in attending the Field Hockey Camp this Summer.  Camp will run August 7-10th.  If you have any questions please see Mrs. Custer.
