  • Welcome back to another edition of TETV News. Today is Monday, May 23rd. This Wednesday our spirit day theme is Patriotic day in honor of the upcoming Memorial Day weekend, so lets all get out our Red White and Blue and honor the holiday.
  • On Thursday, the boys track team traveled to Ellington for the Connecticut River Athletic League Championship meet.  While the overall results didn't fall in the Cougars favor, the boys gave it everything they had to try to repeat as CRAL champions.  Many athletes had outstanding individual performances.  Beckham Mills gutted it out through some soreness and finished 3rd in the Discus and 400 meter sprint.  Trestan Calloway finished 1st in the 200 meter dash and 4th in the 55 meter hurdles.  Jaden Bridgeforth saved his best meet for last, finishing 4th in the 100 meter dash and 3rd in the 200.  Holden Crane gave the Cougars all he had like he has all season, helping the 4x400 team earn 3rd with the help of Matt Habeeb, Brody Jurzcyk, and Blake Wool.  He also finished 4th in the Shot Put.  A lot was asked of Blake Wool and Stewart Christophel on the day and they emptied the tank during the 4x800 relay with Ben Perkins and James Swett, earning 2nd place.  The TE boys had a great season and some of the athletes are now shifting their focus to the State Championship meet on Saturday, May 28th.  Thanks to all the boys for their effort and teamwork this season!

  • Congratulations to the Girls U14 Bobcats Lacrosse Team on winning the Ken Vilar Southington Jamboree. Hard work and great team play brought them the Championship. Also, big congratulations to tournament MVP Sierra Torres whose clutch saves preserved the championship win over Simsbury.
  • The Timothy Edwards baseball team travelled to Enfield on Friday in a matchup vs. JFK and the Cougars did not disappoint as they notched their third victory in a row.   On the mound, Brayden Edwards, Kevin Wind and Elias Jacobs did something that has happened only one other time in TE baseball history.  All 3 combined to throw a no hitter in the game as their pitches baffled the Patriots lineup all afternoon.  Offensively, TE pounded out 17 hits in the victory.  They were led by Evan Westfall with 2 singles, a double and RBI and Kevin Wind with 3 singles and 3 RBI.  Aiden Jackson had 2 singles and 3 RBI.  Daltin Harrison also chipped in with 2 singles.  The Cougars improve to 7 wins and 2 losses on the season.  They travel to Windsor today to take on Sage Park.  Good luck TE!
