  • Good morning everyone. Please stand for the pledge of allegiance: I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands one nation, under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all. Please be seated.
  • Welcome back to another edition of TETV News. Today is Thursday, May 12th.
  • Attention all 8th grade choral students:  Please report to the auditorium today at 8:05am for a combined rehearsal.  Again, ALL 8th grade choral students should go to the auditorium this morning at 8:05am.
  • Attention all sports fans, if you plan on attending the softball or baseball games, you will NOT be dismissed from your last period class until the last bus is called..."all students are now dismissed."  Students will then walk to the cafeteria to meet the game supervisor and sign in.  From there, students attending the game will walk out to the field as a group.  At 4:10pm, all students will sign out and go (with a supervisor) to the parking lot for parent pickup or to the cafeteria to wait for your late bus on Monday, Wednesday and/or Thursday game days.
  • On the first and third Wednesday of the month until the end of the school year from 3:30-4:30pm, join us at the Teen Center for our Strides for Positive Vibes walking group. Enjoy the nice weather, nature, and spend time with your friends.
  • The TEMS baseball team played a home game on Wednesday afternoon against Tolland and the Cougars were victorious, winning by a score of 8 to 3.  With the Cougars up 4 to 3 in the bottom of the 6th, Jaiden (J-Mo) Morales came to the plate with 2 runners in scoring position.  TE needed some insurance runs!  For the second consecutive afternoon, J-Mo crushed a fast ball deep into right field for a 3 run homerun!  The crowd erupted as the Cougars took a commanding 7 to 3 lead.  But they were not done yet!  Pinch hitter Ryder Haynes stroked a laser to left field for back to back home runs...the first time in TE baseball history!  Rounding out the hit parade was Brayden Edwards with 2 singles and Aiden Jackson with a single and 2 RBI.  Daltin Harrision caught a great game for the Cougars and Elias Jacobs continued to dazzle the crowd with his glove at short stop.  Kevin Wind started the game on the mound and kept the Falcons in check for 3 innings.  Morales came on in relief and allowed no runs over 3 and 2/3 innings to pick up the victory.  TE improves to 4 and 1 on the season and has a key matchup today at home vs. Illing.
