  • This past weekend, in our Nation's capital, our very own Girish Prasad represented the state of Connecticut at the MathCounts National Competition!  Girish and Team CT had an excellent showing placing in the top 25% of competitors form 50 states and 6 territories.  Congratulations to Girish and Team CT!!
  • The South Teen Cycling Club invites middle and high school residents and their families to join our cycling adventures! We explore trails in South Windsor and nearby towns, aiming to share the joy of cycling with the community. Our focus is on providing teenagers the opportunity to partake in group rides, including a monthly short excursion (about 4-5 miles) around South Windsor and a longer adventure (20–25 miles) on bike trails for more avid cyclists. During the summer, the club will ride twice a month, starting and ending at Nevers Park unless specified otherwise. All rides, led by South Windsor Walk and Wheel Ways volunteers, require helmets and bikes. You can register for the Cycling Club on the South Windsor Parks & Rec website under the South Windsor Walk and Wheel Ways section. We start riding as soon as summer vacation commences!
  • Attention all individuals who would like to learn the sport of field hockey or improve your skills will want to register for the Field Hockey camp running August 12-15th! Any girl in grades 5-10 are welcome ! You must register On-Line through the Park and Recreation Dept.  Spots are filling up fast so sign up today! Any questions see Mrs. Custer
  • Hey TE! Do you want to get involved in helping to make our school and the environment around us a better place. Well next Thursday, May 23, a group of dedicated and like minded students will be meeting to do a clean up around TE. We will meet in Room 324 on the Ruby team right afterschool, and head out to make a difference shortly after.   • Support the initiative of two SWHS students dedicated to reducing landfill waste and giving clothing a new lease on life. Drop off your donations at SWHS or the Teen Center from May 8th to May 20th. Thank you for empowering our youth!
  • May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Tomorrow, we encourage everyone to wear purple and bring one dollar to your homeroom to support the Hartford Healthcare Purple Light Project. The project aims to raise awareness about mental health and support individuals and families affected by mental illness. Let's show our support and wear purple on to support this important cause on May 17th.
  • Hello TE soccer players! The South Windsor High School boys and girls head soccer coaches are running camps this summer and are open to any player aged 6-14. Bring your friends, your little brother and sister and your neighbor! Camp meets at 5:30pm and there are camps in June, July and August.
