  • Welcome back to another edition of TETV Morning News. Today is Wednesday, May 15.
  • Attention all individuals who would like to learn the sport of field hockey or improve your skills will want to register for the Field Hockey camp running August 12-15th! Any girl in grades 5-10 are welcome ! You must register On-Line through the Park and Recreation Dept.  Spots are filling up fast so sign up today! Any questions see Mrs. Custer.
  • Hey TE! Do you want to get involved in helping to make our school and the environment around us a better place. Well next Thursday, May 23, a group of dedicated and like minded students will be meeting to do a clean up around TE. We will meet in Room 324 on the Ruby team right afterschool, and head out to make a difference shortly after. If interested, please sign up using the Sign up link on the Daily News. 
  • The TE baseball team cruised to an 11 - 1 victory over East Hartford on Tuesday afternoon.  Torin Edwards dominated on the mound...he pitched five innings, struck out four and only allowed two hits.  He also helped himself out  on the offensive end with a single, double and two RBI.  Ethan Pugrab belted out three singles, had two stolen bases and two RBI.  Kasper Kaczkowski continued his hot hitting as he had two singles and an RBI.  Nolan Carling added a double and three RBI and Nathan Botti chipped in with two singles and an RBI.  Ryan Browning came off the bench and had a solid hit into the gap in right center.  The Cougars played a well rounded game both offensively and defensively and in the process, improved their record to 5 and 3.  They play at home on Thursday against Sage Park.  Good luck boys! 
  • This Week's Science is Worth Exploring Matinee will be held today, Wednesday, May 15th instead of tomorrow. Again, Science is worth exploring will meet today after school instead of Thursday. 
  • The Art Work is BACK from the Art Show! If your Art Teacher was holding your work until after the art show, you can pick it up NOW to take home! Stop in to see your art teacher to get your art work back!

  • Support the initiative of two SWHS students dedicated to reducing landfill waste and giving clothing a new lease on life. Drop off your donations at SWHS or the Teen Center from May 8th to May 20th. Thank you for empowering our youth!
  • May is Mental Health Awareness Month. On May 17th, this Friday, we encourage everyone to wear purple and bring one dollar to your homeroom to support the Hartford Healthcare Purple Light Project. The project aims to raise awareness about mental health and support individuals and families affected by mental illness. Let's show our support and wear purple on to support this important cause on May 17th.
  • Hello TE soccer players! The South Windsor High School boys and girls head soccer coaches are running camps this summer and are open to any player aged 6-14. Bring your friends, your little brother and sister and your neighbor! Camp meets at 5:30pm and there are camps in June, July and August.
