  • Welcome back to another edition of TETV Morning News. Today is Tuesday, May 14.
  • Hey TE! Do you want to get involved in helping to make our school and the environment around us a better place. Well next Thursday, May 23, a group of dedicated and like minded students will be meeting to do a clean up around TE. We will meet in Room 324 on the Ruby team right afterschool, and head out to make a difference shortly after. If interested, please sign up using the Sign up link on the Daily News. 
  • The boys track and field team ended their regular season with a dominant victory over East Hartford, 94-11.  Roberto K returned from a season long injury and helped the throwing group sweep Shot Put.  Carter G, Aniron P, and Sujay K swept the Discus.  Sujay also earned 1st place in the High Jump.  Luis L continued his dominant season, earning first in the 100, Long Jump and 4 by 100 with Alex L, Liam S, and Dave N.  Vedanth M, Maanit P, and Vihaan R swept the hurdles.  Jeff Z continued a strong season sweeping all his events with a 1st place finish and moving up 2 spots in the TE Top Ten for the mile run.  The boys final test will come on Thursday when they journey to Ellington to try and win back the CRAL championship from 5 years ago.  Good luck Cougars!
  • We are thrilled to share the exciting news that our Girl's Track Team emerged victorious in their meet against Sage Park! They performed exceptionally well, securing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each event and achieving a remarkable total score of 105-0.Furthermore, it is very exciting to announce that several of our talented girls have made it into the TEMS Top Ten Record Book:

 -Zoe Bailey holds the 8th position in the 100-meter event
-Jana Brownbill has secured the 9th spot in the 400-meter
-Kiran Thacker, Greta Johnson, and Jana Brownbill have earned top times in the 800-meter
-Kiran has notably improved her performance in the 1600 meters, now standing in 4th place
-Emmi Tushi, Ella Danielle, Zoe Bailey, and Morgan Bridgeforth have achieved 5th place with their outstanding 4x100 meter run.

Congratulations to all the girls on their hard work and dedication! Let's continue to support and cheer them on as they prepare for Thursday's event at CRAL.

  • This Week's Science is Worth Exploring Matinee will be Held tomorrow, Wednesday May 15th instead of Thursday. Again, Science is worth exploring will meet tomorrow after school instead of Thursday. 
  • Due to the high number of registrants, Badminton registration is now closed. Thank you for all of the interest.
  • Support the initiative of two SWHS students dedicated to reducing landfill waste and giving clothing a new lease on life. Drop off your donations at SWHS or the Teen Center from May 8th to May 20th. Thank you for empowering our youth!
  • May is Mental Health Awareness Month. On May 17th, this Friday, we encourage everyone to wear purple and bring one dollar to your homeroom to support the Hartford Healthcare Purple Light Project. The project aims to raise awareness about mental health and support individuals and families affected by mental illness. Let's show our support and wear purple on to support this important cause on May 17th.
  • Hello TE soccer players! The South Windsor High School boys and girls head soccer coaches are running camps this summer and are open to any player aged 6-14. Bring your friends, your little brother and sister and your neighbor! Camp meets at 5:30pm and there are camps in June, July and August.
