  • Welcome back to another edition of TETV Morning News. Today is Thursday, April 25.
  • Attention cast and crew of Finding Nemo, there are still some 11"x17" show posters left. If you didn't get a poster as a memento and still want one, go see Ms. Carver in room 145. One poster per student, first come-first serve. So come get a poster while they last! Also! South Windsor High School's spring musical is happening this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. All Entertainers are offered 1 free ticket. If you want to learn more, check out the info posted in Google Classroom or reach out to Ms. Carver or Mrs. Leveille. 
  • TEMS hosted the Connecticut Democracy Center's Middle School Debate Tournament on Wednesday evening. All debate teams participated in two rounds of debate before the Awards Ceremony which saw TEMS sweep the Top 5 Speaker awards including:
    •  5th Place Speaker: Anvi Panat
    •  4th place Speaker Aarav Pruthi
    •  3rd Place Speaker: Shreenika Patil
    •  2nd Place Speaker: Aarna Jaggi 
    • 1st Place over all Top Speaker of the evening - The Great and Powerful Suhani Kapil
  • The softball team had quite a game yesterday against Suffield.  The game ended after the top of the 5th with a score of 24 to 3.  Amanda Donovan, Katelyn Bousquet, Raegan Burnham, Gemma Duhamel, and Kendall Woods added one hit each; Maria Puniello had 2 hits which included her first double of the season, Riley Quigley hit her first homerun of the season, Claire Kaminski and Josie Tomkunas had 2 hits each.  Daphne Specht and Alivia Gliha each hit a double and Julia Baron hit her first triple of the season.  The Lady Cougars travel to Manchester today to take on Illing Middle School.  Good luck!

    • Science is Worth Exploring will meet in room 325 with Miss Bukhari
    • Zumba Mania will meet in Alt 6 with Mrs. Tran
  • SAGA is meeting after school today in Ms. Carver's room, room 145, downstairs in the music hallway. We will start talking about what ways we want to celebrate June's Pride Month here at TEMS. If you're unsure if SAGA is the place for you, you can always reach out or go see Ms. Carver to ask questions. If you're worried you won't know anyone at the meeting, ask a friend to join you! All are welcome. We can't wait to see you and hear your great ideas for Pride Month!
  • Yes, three strikes in a row....that's a turkey! The outdoor education group will be going bowling after school on Thursday, May 2nd after school at Spare Time in Vernon.  Cost is $15 which includes cost of bowling and shoe rentals.  Permission slips are available outside room 263 (Mrs. McAvoy's room in the Sage team hallway). See Mrs. McAvoy or Mrs. Roy if you have any questions. Spots are limited and available on a first come, first served basis.
