  • Welcome back to another edition of TETV Morning News. Today is Monday, March 13.
  • There will be no meeting of Out of the Blue today Monday March 13.  All students should go home on their regular bus.
  • Attention all choral students:  Chorus classes will be held in Alt. 6 today. Please report directly to Alt. 6.  Do not go to the auditorium.
  • Yesterday was a day of Silver and Gold Medals for many of the 30+ TEMS participants at the MANSFIELD Regional Contest of CT History Day, held on the campus of the University of Connecticut. The following TEMS students were acknowledged during the Awards Ceremony:
    •  Amelia Magnoli was awarded 2nd Place for her Junior Division Research Paper 
    •  Rachel Mathew was awarded 1st Place for her Junior Division Research Paper 
    •  Charlotte Zhang was awarded 2nd Place for her Junior Division Individual Documentary
    •  Henry Venne was awarded 1st Place for his Junior Division Individual Documentary
    •  Hrishi Jonnalagadda, Arnav Malpure, Ishanvi Mohapatra and Grace Yi were awarded 1st place for their Junior Division Group Documentary
    •  Emma O'Brien was awarded 1st Place for her Junior Division Individual Performance 
    •  CC Dresser and Rayna Reed were awarded 1st Place for their Junior Division Group Performance

    Congratulations to all students from TE that participated and good luck to the 11 students qualified for the Connecticut History Day State Contest on Saturday May 6th!

  • TE Science Olympians ... UNFORTUNATELY, the school is no longer open on Saturday, 3/18.  This is a bit of a set-back for our build groups.  That said, additional time will be added to Monday, Wednesday, and FRIDAY this week and next week to make up for the deficit. Monday, 3/13 After school until as late as 5:00pm. Wednesday, 3/15 After school until as late as 5:00pm. Thursday, 3/16 After school until the late bus (4:00pm). Friday, 3/17 After school until as late as 5:00pm. Monday, 3/20 After school,maybe later than 5:00pm. Wednesday, 3/22 After school until as late as 5:00pm. Thursday, 3/23 After school until the late bus (4:00pm). Friday, 3/24 After school until as long as it takes! :) ANY BUILD EVENTS that want to bring materials home are welcome to do so.  We REALLY need to get to the part where we test our construction and create the Practice Logs.   • Who's ready for spring?  It's almost here and let's celebrate with our first school-wide dance.  The Spring Fling Dance will be on Friday, March 31st from 6-8, and is open to the first 380 students from any grade.  The dance will have a DJ, food, photos, and more.  Tickets go on sale Monday, March 27th in the lobby.
  • We are excited to announce that track and field tryouts are approaching.  The TEMS Boys and Girls track team has a variety of sports such as sprinting, long distance, throwing, jumping, and more. If you want to try out, please fill out the sports registration form on our TEMS Athletics webpage.  If you have any questions please see Mrs. Edwards or Mr. Millard.
  • A big thank you to the 353 students and staff who voted in round 1 of 2023 March Madness Book Brackets! Please continue to cast your vote in round 2 by clicking on the March Madness Book Bracket link off of the LMC page and then on the Round 2 voting link.  Voting for round two will end Thursday, March 16th at noon. You don’t have to have read the books; just vote for the title whose summary sounds the most interesting.  If you are interested in any of the titles, come to the library to check out the print copy or go to Destiny Discover to check out the eBook or e-audio.
