  • Welcome back to another edition of TETV Morning News. Today is Wednesday, December 21.
  • Last Friday 87 students competed in the MathCounts in-school competition. The top 8 students will represent TEMS at the Chapter competition to be held at the University of Hartford in February.  Girish Prasad, Ishan Agarwal, Akhil Shunmugaraja and Gian Handa will represent TEMS as our TEAM of 4. Aarav Pruthi, Karthik Srikumar, Satvik Koppu and Eshaan Dey will compete as individuals. Henry Venne and Jude Pohl will be alternates. A shout out to our very own Mr. Clifton, who bravely competed against these very talented mathletes.  He scored an honorable mention! Congratulations to all for a job well done!
  • The Timothy Edwards girls basketball team tipped off the season last night taking on the Rams of Illing in a CRAL battle. With butterflies in their stomach the Cougars came out red hot and blitzed the Rams in the first quarter and never looked back. Leading the way for the Lady Cougars was Kai Grate with 18 points on the night. Emery Forko, Teagan Purcell, and Keira Dietelbaum, the three captains, guided the Lady Cougars all night. Maria Piniello chipped in a cool nine points, as did Shea Brochu. The Lady Cougars won in all aspects of the game, meaning, rebounding, fast break points, steals, and overall team defending and hustle. The Lady Cougars travel to Suffield, tonight, to take on the wild cats. Keep up the great work girls.
  • The boys basketball lost their first game of the season 54-29 in a hard fought game on Tuesday against Illing Middle School.  The Cougars trailed 23-17 at halftime but Illing started the second half strong and took a commanding lead. Late in the third quarter TE went on a run to cut the lead to 13 going into the 4th. Manchester maintained the lead throughout the 4th quarter to finish the game. The Cougars play again today at home against Suffield and look to get their first win of the season.
