  • Welcome back to another edition of TETV Morning News. Today is Monday, October 17th.
  • The TEMS girls soccer team tied JFK 0-0 in yesterday's game in Enfield. The game was scoreless, but this wasn’t from lack of trying. The girls had 16 shots but none were able to find the back of the net. Player of the game goes to Kylah Wood who dominated the midfield with her pace and athleticism. Wood had 6 shots on the day, with one rattling the crossbar. Also, creating chances was Alina Zajac who became a real threat in the second half with her speed and energy. In the midfield, Annabel Ambooken and Gianna DiSalvatore were tenacious providing the Cougars with a lot of opportunities to attack. In defending, Allison Marques and Shea Brochu made swift work of the JFK attacks and felt the support from the efforts of Jenna Martin and Nora Carty. Between the pipes, Hannah Kowalchik had three incredible saves keeping a clean sheet despite a few threatening chances. The Cougars host Sage Park at home this afternoon. Come on out and support the team!
  • The field hockey team fought hard but got beat by a very strong and talented team from Granby. Joanna Halle had 21 saves in the game with Emma Davis making a spectacular goal line save on defense. Ainslee D. and Prithi S.   controlled the midfield with her speed and stick work but TE could not get the ball in the back of the cage. Ava Parente played hard along with Kendall Woods and Sara Bonnano. TE's next home game is tomorrow vs Suffield.
