  • Last week, the boys cross country team hosted Enfield on Thursday. From the start, TE was ready to run. Jeffery Zeng was first to cross the finish line with a time of 15:47, shaving 37 seconds off his time from last week. Hot on Jeff's heels, were Erik Edstrom, taking 3rd; Graeme Taylor, taking sixth; Gavin Lippi, taking 7th; Derek Bifolck, taking 8th place and Robert Valen in 9th place. Some athletes achieved their best time of the year at this meet, including Ethan Feng, Ahan Karnik, and Omar Scott. Congrats to all the runners for an incredible show of effort, which resulted in the win, with a final score of TE 25: Enfield 32.
  • The TEMS girls soccer team took home a resounding 8-0 win over East Hartford on Tuesday afternoon. Leading off on the score sheet was Lily Jaworski with a curling free kick from 25 yards out. Jaworski tallied a total of 4 goals on the day. The Cougars dominated on all aspects of the field with over 30 shots including great chances from Abigail Ambooken and Maeve Verzella. Also, adding to the score sheet was Alina Zajac, Hailey Olints, Gianna DiSalvatore, and an absolute stunner into the bottom corner from Kinsley Wood. Assists on the day were well distributed with two coming from Alina Zajac, and one each from Gianna DiSalvatore, Aleksa Zajac, Maddie Edwards, and Kylah Wood. Between the pipes, Hannah Kowalchik and Olivia Lopez kept yet another clean sheet. Defensively, the Cougars had little problems to manage, but found success with incredible ball distribution from Shea Brochu, Evelyn Castro, Nora Carty, Julia Thorne, and Arianna Flores. The girls are 3-0 and look forward to this afternoon's game at Sage Park.
  • The TE Boys soccer team traveled to East Hartford for another CRAL battle. The Falcons met their match when they faced the Cougars as TE were able to come out on top by the score of 7–1. Aaron Cheriah Scored the first goal four minutes into the contest. Then Matias Baidoo finished a cross from Ben Perkins who also assisted on the first goal. East Hartford Drew one back making it 2-1. From then on it was all Cougars!!!. Unfortunately, the next goal was an East Hartford  own goal as Ian Park served the ball dangerously into the penalty area. Brody Jurczyk finished the scoring in the first half of yet another assist from Perkins. The second half was much of the same as Aidan Matus and 6th graders Harris Zhinipotoku and Liam Staroverov tallied their first goals for TEMS. The boys play Sage Park today after school on the TEMS soccer field. Come out and cheer on the boys!
