  • Welcome back to another edition of TETV Morning News. Today is Friday,  September 30th.
  • The girls XC team celebrated their second win of the season against JFK of Enfield with a final score of 17 to 46.  Brenna Klaus moved up significantly on the team standings finishing in the top ten as she slashed over a minute off her time from Friday.  Saanvi Nigam and Yuna Kasunic also improved their times by over a minute as they cruised through the finish looking effortless.  Two standout performances were made by Riley Quigley and Hasini Kasam who both took two minutes off their times.  Excellent work, runners!  The cross country teams look forward to their next home meet at Nevers against East Hartford and St. James this Tuesday.  Good luck everyone!
  • TE field hockey team lost their home opener to Somers by a score of 4-0. TE's defense was strong throughout the first half but couldn't  keep the ball out of the net in the second half.  TE's strong defense was led by Prithi Suriyakumarr, Ainslee Deptula, Emma Davis, and Emily Carmon.  Tori Yelle and Sarah Bonanno had a couple of strong breakaways but could not find the back of the net.  TE's next game is away verse Suffield.
  • The TEMS Boys Soccer Team battled the JFK Patriots last night and were able to secure the victory 1-0.  The first half was dominated by the Cougars with Bassel Taleb and Alex Ndiaye both ringing the crossbar.  We continued to press and several players had chances on goal as Chirag Balaji pushed one just wide.  The second half was much of the same with chance after chance not taken. Aiden Matus and Mason Smith did very well as the right and left defenders respectively.  As the Cougars continued to press forward Matias Baidoo went one on one with the keeper several times only to be kept off the scoresheet.  Finally the deadlock was broken as Jack Cinxo buried a ball to the bottom right corner.  Ben Perkins was credited with the assist.  The 1-0 victory got the Cougars over the line as they sit on top of the table with 3 wins on the season.  Cougars next play on Tuesday at East Hartford.
  • In an effort to reduce time in the lunch line, all "on the go" parfaits, sandwiches and salads will be in the first line- None will be in the pizza line starting today.
