  • The softball team defeated Sage Park Middle School yesterday 15 to two.  The Lady Cougars had a great game of hitting to bring them to 4 and zero. Center fielder Alivia Ghila and Catcher Brianna LeGare each had double; Reese Pellerin and Meghan Doherty had 2 doubles; Lilly Morse batted 2 for 3 with 2 singles;  Alexis Nisyrios added a home run and first basemen Cassidy Cole contributed with a single.  Great job!  TE travels to Ellington Middle School again on Tuesday, May 10th. Good luck!
  • The boys track team traveled to Sage Park on Thursday for the 2nd meet of the year, and  were faced with a tough battle.  After a slow start to the meet, the Cougars fought back to make things interesting. Mathias Baidoo set a personal best, jumping 4'10" in the high jump.  Trestan Calloway destroyed the field in the 200 meter dash, earning 1st place.  The combination of Stewart Christophel, Colton Flaherty, and Ben Perkins swept the mile run.  While Blake Wool, Ben, and James Sweet swept the 800 meter run.  Beckham Mills continued his success in the 400 meter, earning 1st place in a close race.  The boys came very close, but were edged out by Sage Park in the end, losing 61-59.  It was a valiant effort for the boys.  Next up is a home meet at SWHS against East Hartford on Monday.
  • The TEMS Cougars Girls track team had a dominating performance by taking all the points in 6 out of the 12 total events winning the meet with a final score of 66-30.  Stands outs from the events include our TE hurdlers, Annabel, Abby Ambooken, Caroline Cavanaugh, Sadhana Ganesan, Kashish Kodnaney, and Audrey Zhang who came in the top five places.  In the 1600, Lavanya Rathore, Olivia Stoner, and Megan Foster took the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.  Gianna DiSalvator, Mia Ruiz, and Camille Scott swept the 400, Izzy Carpenter and Sophia Holovatska crushed the 800, Ioana Luangpraseuth, Bella Panek, and Abby Stricker amazed the crowd with their shot put throws, and Audrey Zhang, Izzy Dzubin, Hasnie Giritharan, and Anvitha Jayavarapu impressed everyone with their discus throws.  The TEMS track and field team will be in action next Monday when it hosts East Hartford at South Windsor High School.
