  • Welcome back to another edition of TETV News. Today is Monday, March 14. Don't forget, this week's spirit day is green day in honor of St Patrick's Day.
  • Attention all baseball, softball and track athletes; spring sports registration is now open.  The deadline to register is  Friday, March 18th.  Please go to the "Athletics Registration" page on the TE website for further instructions.  You must complete all 3 parts of the registration process in order to be eligible for tryouts. 
  • On Saturday, three students from TEMS: Girish Prasad, Ishan Agarwal and Shaurya Ranjan participated in the State MathCounts Competition at the University of Hartford. Sharuya and Girish placed in the top 16, qualifying them for the live head-to-head competition, where they had to answer challenging math questions in front of the audience!  They put on an impressive show, with Girish coming in 2nd place, and Shaurya coming in 3rd place! Shaurya Ranjan made TE history by coming in 2nd place overall in the state of CT! He will be heading to Washington D.C. in May! Shaurya will be the first TE student to compete at the national level! A hearty congratulations to to Shaurya. Overall a VERY successful day for Ishan, Girish and Shaurya!
  • Thank you to the 281 students and staff who voted in round 2 of the 2022 March Madness Book Bracket. I’d love to see more students vote in round 3 which ends at the end of the day on Thursday, March 14thYou don’t have to read the books you are voting on; just vote for the one that sounds the more interesting; come down to the library to check one out! Don’t get left out on the sidelines; make sure you have your say in this year’s March Madness book winner!
  • The Evergreen Team is looking for donations to help with the Ukraine Crisis-specifically the displaced refugees that have had to flee their homes. These donations will go to the Ukraine Crisis through the American Red Cross. Facts: A refugee is a person who has fled their home because of war or natural disaster. According to the UN Refugee Agency, 1,735,068 million Ukraine people fled their homes and this number is growing. The Red Cross will send the money over to Ukraine to buy medical supplies, food, water etc. Each homeroom teacher will have an envelope to collect donations. Please give all monetary donations to your homeroom teacher. Contributions will be collected from March 14-21. The American Red Cross and the people of Ukraine appreciate your generosity.   • We had another great round of college trivia last week and three new winners! Thanks to all who participated. Please make sure that you listen in all week and take the next TE staff college trivia quiz on Friday ~ you could be our next winner! Will the following students please come to guidance after announcements today to choose your college T-shirt prize! Grade 6 ~  Keshav Prem, Grade 7 ~ Abigail Ambooken, and Grade 8 ~ Lavanya Rathore.
  • Don't forget, our TEMS TOK Team challenge starts on Wednesday. We cant wait to see your videos. Please be sure your team videos are ready for our competition.
