  • Good morning everyone. Please stand for the pledge of allegiance: I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands one nation, under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all. Please be seated.
  • Welcome back to another edition of TETV News. Today is Tuesday November 9th.
  • This week we will recognize Veterans Day. We take this opportunity each year to thank and honor those that have served our country. This year students will have the opportunity to recognize Veterans Day in all Social Studies classes.  Additionally, the Social Studies Department has been able to record new interviews with Veterans in our community,  representatives from the Patriotic Commission and American Legion. These stories will be shared in class as well as other opportunities to learn about Veterans Day and the service and sacrifice of Veterans. Thank you to all Veterans for their service and sacrifice!
  • Don't forget tomorrow is spirit day. This week we will Show our patriotism and support our veterans by wearing red, white and blue, or anything that honors our Veterans! So be sure to wear your most patriotic outfits tomorrow.
  • The TEMS community is organizing a Thanksgiving Food Drive! Our hope is to provide a complete dinner basket for 20 South Windsor families to enjoy on Thanksgiving, so we need your help! Please bring in any of the following: canned fruits/vegetables, stuffing mix, mashed potatoes, pie crust mix/fillings, bread/dessert mixes or gravy by November 15th. Drop off boxes are at A, B and C  entrances.  You can also give a $1 donation to your homeroom teacher. Thank you very much for your generosity!
  • Attention all students in Mr. Bronson's Jamm Session. There will not be Jamm this Thursday.
  • Attention all students interested in trying out for the TEMS Cougars Cheer Team.  The TEMS Cheerleading Team practices daily after school, cheers at all home boys and girls basketball games, and competes at one local competition per season. Tryouts begin Monday, November 29th, Tuesday, November 30th, and Thursday December 2nd from 2:45-4:00. All sports forms with a doctor's note must be turned in prior.  Please email Mrs. Edwards with any questions.
  • Attention boys and girls interested in playing TE Basketball. Boys basketball tryouts will be on November 29th and 30th from 2:45 - 4:00 after school in the main gym. Girls basketball tryouts will be December 1st and 2nd also in the main gym.  Students can take the late bus or players will be expected to have a ride home at 4:00 if tryouts are not on a late bus day.  Please see the school website for more information or speak to Mr. Chandler in the main gym.
  • The Outdoor Ed. hike at Valley Falls this week is now full, but we have another hike coming up next week if you are interested.  On Wednesday, November 17th, we will be hiking Case Mountain in Manchester.  Please see Mr. Wilkinson, Ms. Nelson, or stop by the main office for a form if you are interested.  Forms are due back Monday, November 15th.
