  • The long and winding road led the TEMS debaters to Central Middle School in Greenwich, site of the 2025 Connecticut Middle School Debate League's Middle School Championship Tournament. More than 200 debaters from across that state were invited to this event. In the end, it was a wild and windy night that resulted in TEMS debaters bringing home quite a few medals and trophies. Highlighting the Championship Division, left standing there, was Shreenika Patil, the overall Number One Debater of the Tournament! In the Open Division, the team of Apsara Shetty, Hriya Devanathan and Aaradhya Anand finished with a perfect 3-0 record bringing home 5th place trophies. The team of Lucksiya Kannan, Hasini Kasam and Sruthi Jonnala also posted a perfect 3-0 record and were awarded trophies for their 3rd place finish. And, crying for the day, leaving a pool of happy tears, the team of Mysha Husain, Divina Doulagar and Akshara Arun walked away with 1st place honors and trophies! Finally, Mysha Husain was awarded top honors in the Open Division as the top speaker and gold medalist! Congratulations to all TEMS debaters for a great tournament.
  • On Friday, both TEMS Mock Trial Teams traveled to New Britain Superior Court to participate in the Playoffs of this year's Middle School Mock Trial Competition, sponsored by the Connecticut Bar Association. Congratulations to the TEMS Red team and the TEMS White team for their performances, winning in both rounds of the playoffs and advancing for consideration in the State Championship. Unfortunately, a total of four teams were in the mix and this year the tiebreaker system did not favor either TE team. Regardless of that final determination, both TEMS Mock Trial teams are winners!
  • Out of the Blue will meet after school today in room 222.  Since this is our last meeting before submissions are due, please make sure that club members are bringing their assigned completed submission to this meeting. Remember that we are counting on you! And to all members of our TE family!  We want your brilliant writing and artwork in our magazine.  Please submit any poem, short story, drawing, painting, photography, comic strip, etc., to Ms. Olsen to be included in our Nationally Award winning magazine.  Deadline is Monday, April 21 so use your April break when you have lots of extra time to get those final pieces done.  The ones that have been submitted so far are amazing!
