- The stakes were high, the goal was clear: defend the undefeated season. On Thursday, October 24th, at the CRAL Championship, the TE boys cross country team rose to the occasion. From the start, TE set the tone. Aiden Pilatti made an early statement, locking in a top spot and finishing 4th overall. Hot on his heels was Cayden Poehnert, charging hard to secure 9th place. Evan Taylor and Connor Hall held their ground, crossing the finish line side by side, while Brandon Willcox closed strong, fending off Suffield’s top contenders and sealing the victory for TE. Shaunak Tamhane and Tommy Stewart ran with heart, putting in clutch performances that left no doubt—TE was taking home the title. Congratulations to the 2024 CRAL Champions! Good luck at the State Championship next Saturday. Go Cougars!
- The girl's cross country team was able to clench the win for the CRAL Championship, closing out their season undefeated. Jana Brownbill ran a tough race to win as the overall female. One place behind her was Greta Johnson, who had an amazing finish to her race. Emily B and Lillian Magnoli had breakout races, earning 4th and 6th overall. Charlotte Z, Saanvi N, and Ashlyn all finished within the top 20, each running their best races of the season. The next race for these ladies will be states on 11/2/24.
- Last night the TE Boys Soccer team secure the #1 seed in the CRAL playoffs beating Suffield 3-1 in their last regular season game of the year. TE had numerous chances in the first half, though they were not able to set themselves apart from the Wildcats. The first half ended 0-0 though TE created most of the chances throughout the half. The second half was more of the same, with TE controlling possession similarly to the first half. Their persistence finally paid off as Dylan Leacu played the ball across the face of goal to Liam Staroverov for the cool finish in front of the net. Shortly thereafter, Leacu bullied his way through the defense to make the score 2-0. Suffield got one back off a corner kick that just eluded the TE keeper Will Woods. In the waning stages of the half, Adam Elsendyouney put the game to bed after finishing a cross from Sachin Vemuri. The result means that TE ends the regular season undefeated and will host one of the semi-finals on Monday night at Nevers. Should they win, they will host the final as well. Good luck to all the players as they strive to go champions in back to back seasons. Hopefully you can make it out to the game on Monday. Good luck boys.
- The Lady Cougars had their final regular season game against Suffield yesterday. The girls soccer team battled to a hard-fought 0-0 tie against Suffield Middle School. Aleksa Z. and Sienna D had some amazing shots on net. The MVP has to go to goal keeper Victoria M. we had two amazing saves in the second half. Lani S. and Elise G. played their hearts out, Coach B and Coach Sayed were very impressed. The Lady Cougars are headed to the tournament next week. They will play on Tuesday!

- Active-Thon is on…Potato sack races, Volleyball, Hopper ball races, dance, listen to some music, egg and spoon race and enjoy Kona Ice. Sadly, we did not make our goal, but the good news is, we are only $5,000 away. There is still time to reach our goal, slime Principal Irwin and get a fun field day outside in the spring with games and a kickball tournament. Solve this math question: If we need $5,000 to reach our goal and there are 1,200 students at TE, how much money could each student bring in to reach our goal? We are taking donations until 11:59 PM on November 1, 2024. Go have fun today!!!
- The field hockey team lost a close one to Glastonbury by a score of 1-0. Captains Kinley Cincotta, Joanna Halle and Allie Scott each played extremely well with Allie Scott making a diving save to keep TE in the game! Game captain Kendall Heath made numerous tackles in the circle keeping Glastonbury’s attack at bay. Emma Hennessey’s stick work in the midfield was impressive to watch. Tori Yelle had some rocket like passes to forwards Kylie Duval and Ella Satalino but couldn’t get it past the Glastonbury goalie. TE’s next game is home on Monday verse Somers. Hope to see you there!
- Last night the Timothy Edwards boys soccer team traveled to Tolland to take on the Falcons. After a strong showing from Tolland, TE settled into their game. The first half was highly contested and the Cougars tallied just two goals in the opening frame. Dylan Leacu and Liam Staroverov both scored unassisted goals.. In the second half Adam Elsendyouney scored unassisted, as well, early in the half. Then midway through the second half Vadanth Manchala passed one in off a cross from Staroverov that bounced off the keeper. Literally 15 seconds later the ball was stolen in midfield and Elsendyouney dribbled the length of the half then dribbled the keeper for the fifth goal of the game, which was his second. The defense held firm in the second half and the 5-1 result was justified. The first place Cougars play their final home game tonight after school at Never’s against second place Suffield. Come out and cheer on the boys! Today is the last game for the boys and girls soccer teams away to Suffield. Please dismiss all boys and girls soccer players at 2:20 today.

Will Principal Irwin get slimed? Will everyone get a surprise outdoor day in the spring? Will every grade get a cross team lunch and recess? Find out tomorrow morning…..Get those donations in, every donation big or small helps us achieve our goal and helps all students have the best year yet!!
- The TE Boys Soccer team took on Windsor Locks last night securing a 6-0 win and remaining in the top spot of the CRAL league standings. Liam Staroverov opened the scoring off a long throw in from Dylan Leacu. Adam Elsendyouney tapped in a pass from Nishil Gangarapu and then Staroverov rounded out the scoring in the first half tucking away a pass from Hussien Taleb. The second half was much of the same as TE kept their foot on the gas. Vadanth Manchala, Leacu and Zach Gilbert all got on the score sheet after the break. Ishaan Ray, Colin LeDoux, Ryan Botticello and Zavier Caouette all had strong performances in the match. This result marks the 8th shutout of the season proving the defense has been strong all season long. Good luck today boys against Tolland.
- We've got some exciting news from the Lady Cougars soccer team. They just wrapped up a big victory against Windsor Locks Middle School. It was a thrilling match from start to finish. Maddie C. got things started with a fantastic goal, assisted by Sienna D. Not long after, Ellie K. found the back of the net with a beautiful shot, thanks to a great pass from Emily W. And Maddie C. wasn't done yet! She scored again, with Sienna D. providing the assist once more. The Lady Cougars played their hearts out hoping to make it to the tournament. Their hard work and teamwork paid off, and they're celebrating a well-deserved win 3-2! Congratulations, Lady Cougars! The girls play their last regular season game against Suffield on Thursday.

In the second half, the Cougars dominated possession as well as the Falcons. Two more goals put the game to bed. Haris Zhinipotoku scored off of Zack Gilbert throw in while Dennis Satar finished off across from Gilbert that made it through the keeper. The Cougars play again on Thursday at Vernon.
