- Yesterday was a close call for the TEMS softball team; walking away with the win and beating Illing Middle School 8 to 6. TE was tied 6 to 6 going into the 7th inning. Meghan Doherty started the inning off with a single and made her way to 3rd base with steals only to have Alexis Nisyrios come up to the plate. Before this at bat, Alexis had hit a single and a homerun, so her team was looking for her to score Meghan. Second pitch, Alexis crushed the ball to left field to add another home run for the game. This gave TE an 8 to 6 lead going into the bottom of the seventh. Illing couldn't answer back and TE took the victory. Defensive standouts for the game were catcher Brianna LeGare and pitchers Alexis Nisyrios and Meghan Doherty. Offensive standouts for the game were Reese Pellerin, Lilly Morse, Meghan Doherty and Alexis Nisyrios. TE travels to Tolland today. Great win yesterday and good luck today!
- The TE baseball team played against Illing yesterday and the result did not go in TE's favor. The Cougars managed only 2 hits in the game...an RBI double by Aiden Jackson and a single by Brayden Edwards. TE's next game is Tuesday at Sage Park.

- The TEMS baseball team played a home game on Wednesday afternoon against Tolland and the Cougars were victorious, winning by a score of 8 to 3. With the Cougars up 4 to 3 in the bottom of the 6th, Jaiden (J-Mo) Morales came to the plate with 2 runners in scoring position. TE needed some insurance runs! For the second consecutive afternoon, J-Mo crushed a fast ball deep into right field for a 3 run homerun! The crowd erupted as the Cougars took a commanding 7 to 3 lead. But they were not done yet! Pinch hitter Ryder Haynes stroked a laser to left field for back to back home runs...the first time in TE baseball history! Rounding out the hit parade was Brayden Edwards with 2 singles and Aiden Jackson with a single and 2 RBI. Daltin Harrision caught a great game for the Cougars and Elias Jacobs continued to dazzle the crowd with his glove at short stop. Kevin Wind started the game on the mound and kept the Falcons in check for 3 innings. Morales came on in relief and allowed no runs over 3 and 2/3 innings to pick up the victory. TE improves to 4 and 1 on the season and has a key matchup today at home vs. Illing.

- Congratulations to the softball team for another victory yesterday, making their record 5 and 0. TE defeated Ellington in a close game of 5 to 4. Pitchers Meghan Doherty and Alexis Nisyrios played a great game and contributed a few hits total. Reese Pellerin, Olivia Doran and Brianna LeGare added some hits to lead TE to a victory. - The TEMS baseball team fought hard yesterday at Orchard Hill Park and came out on top by a score of 11 to 8 vs. Ellington. The Wildcats had been previously undefeated with a 5-0 record going into the contest. The Cougars dug themselves an early hole as they found themselves facing a 5 to 1 deficit going into the bottom of the third inning. That's when the bats finally exploded as TE scored 6 runs in the frame to take a 7 to 5 lead. The inning was highlighted by a towering 2 run home run to right field by Jaiden (J-Mo) Morales. A two out rally in the bottom of the fourth with consecutive singles by Evan Westfall, Elias Jacobs and Brayden Edwards scored two more runs . All three ended up with 2 hits apiece. Lucas Carson also added two singles and played a stellar left field in the windy conditions. Adding to the hit attack was Brandon Gudauskas who had an RBI ground rule double. On the mound, Edwards notched his second victory of the season. He finished with 8 strikeouts in 6 and a third innings pitched. TE improves to 3 and 1 on the season and plays at home today vs. Tolland.
