  • Welcome back to another edition of TETV Morning News. Today is Friday, January 27.
  • It was a quick drive up to Windsor as the Lady Cougars battled the Stage Park Chargers last night. The Lady Cougars came out on top 51-43. Without their two top points scores, the Lady Cougars had to find other alternatives on the office event. Kiera Dietelbaum set career high and lead the team with 11 points, while Shea Brochu added 10, including six for seven from the free throw line. Maria Puniello and Teagan Purcell both had seven on the night as well.  Gianna DiSalvatore took advantage as well and also had a career high 6 points! Lastly, Emery Forko had 4, and Olivia Dzubin, Kyla Wood, and Mia Haynes chipped in a bucket a piece. The girls really did well, considering they only had 10 healthy players for the game. The last two regular season games are next week against JFK and Suffield. Congrats on the win girls!
  • Bravo! And congratulations to the TEMS Band Students who performed last night. The show may have been delayed one night due to weather, but it was worth the wait. Great job to all of the band students who put in tremendous effort to prepare for the performance. We cannot wait to see the next concert.
  • Attention all students who attended the Robotics club informational meeting, club selections have been finalized and there will be a letter available to each of you in the main office at the end of the day. For those students who were selected, our first club meeting will be next Thursday, February 2nd.

It was a tightly contested game throughout, with the Lady Cougars coming out on top 49 to 43. Leading the way was Morgan Bridgeforth with 12 points and Emery Forko with a career high nine points. Teagan Purcell, Kyla Wood and Keira Dietelbaum each had five points while Maria Puniello chipped in seven and Shea Brochu had six. The Lady Cougars were excellent in the final stages of the game, holding the ball and forcing the Lady Falcons to foul. Puniello and Brochu sank a couple key free throws to seal the game. Congrats on the win girls!

  • The Lady Cougars girls basketball team hosted top of the table Ellington last night and came away with a resounding 46-27 victory.  The win avenged an early season loss to the Wildcats and now puts TEMS on top of the CRAL table with a 6 and 1 record.  The Lady Cougars played well all night on both ends of the court.  Defensively, they made it difficult for the Wildcats two best players holding them to a total of 17 points.  Offensively, 9 different players scored at least a bucket for TEMS.  The dynamic duo of Morgan Bridgeforth and Kai Grate each had eight.  Keira Deitelbaum and Shea Brochu had 7 apiece.  Emery Forko dropped 5, Teagan Purcell had 3  Gianna DiSalvatore, Maria Puniello, Kylah Wood each had 2 points in the contest and Mia Haynes made one from the charity stripe.  Overall, Coach Chandler was pleased with the effort of all the players.  "Everyone contributed in some way tonight," he stated. "The girls should be proud of their performance and proved that we are one of, if not the top team in the CRAL," he added.  Congrats girls and good luck today against Illing.
