  • The softball team suffered a 7 to 5 loss yesterday against Illing Middle school.  TE was down 3 runs going into the 5th inning, until Lila Sheridan, Amanda Donovan, Alivia Ghila and Cassidy Cole scored making it 4 to 3.  It wasn't enough though. Illing Middle School came back in the last inning to score and take the win.  Pitcher Josie Tomkunas and catcher Gemma Duhamel played a great game.  TE hosts Sage Park Middle School on Tuesday.  Come and support your Lady Cougars.  Good luck!
  • This weekend Girish Prasad from the Scarlet team will be travelling to Orlando Florida to compete in the National Math Counts competition.  This is only the second time in TEMS history that a student has made it all the way to the national finals!  Best of luck, Girish, and remember, the limit does not exist!

  • The TEMS baseball team played a home game on Wednesday afternoon against Tolland and the Cougars were victorious, winning by a score of 8 to 3.  With the Cougars up 4 to 3 in the bottom of the 6th, Jaiden (J-Mo) Morales came to the plate with 2 runners in scoring position.  TE needed some insurance runs!  For the second consecutive afternoon, J-Mo crushed a fast ball deep into right field for a 3 run homerun!  The crowd erupted as the Cougars took a commanding 7 to 3 lead.  But they were not done yet!  Pinch hitter Ryder Haynes stroked a laser to left field for back to back home runs...the first time in TE baseball history!  Rounding out the hit parade was Brayden Edwards with 2 singles and Aiden Jackson with a single and 2 RBI.  Daltin Harrision caught a great game for the Cougars and Elias Jacobs continued to dazzle the crowd with his glove at short stop.  Kevin Wind started the game on the mound and kept the Falcons in check for 3 innings.  Morales came on in relief and allowed no runs over 3 and 2/3 innings to pick up the victory.  TE improves to 4 and 1 on the season and has a key matchup today at home vs. Illing.
