  • Welcome back to another edition of TETV Morning News. Today is Friday, March 8.
  • The TEMS-PTO needs your help in selecting the final design for the new TEMS Spirit Wear logo that will be used to create new shirts for TE. Please go to the TEMS homepage to fill out the Google form to vote for your selection. We can't wait to see which new logo will be selected!
  • You can earn purple ROAR tickets all month long by demonstrating Respect, Ownership, Acceptance, and Resilience. To enter to win prizes, put your first and last name and team on the ticket and place tickets in the box next to the safety desk. Drawings will be announced Fridays all month long. Just as a reminder, try to show all the qualities of ROAR. You may even be lucky enough to earn a free ticket to the upcoming Under the Sea activity night hosted by the T.E. Change Leaders.
  • Attention Science Olympiad members with competition only one week away, please plan to attend the special weekend meeting hours to prepare for our upcoming competition on March 16th.  We will meet tomorrow (Saturday) from 11:00 am to 2:00pm with Mrs. Bajorek.
  • Softball tryouts are going to held on April 1st, 3rd, and 4th until 4pm.  You can get more information on the TEMS Athletics webpage, in the main gym or see Mrs. Giaccone.
  • Calling All Middle Schoolers! Spring Matinee registration is open! Ready to unleash your creativity, explore new interests, and have some fun after school? Check out the Spring Matinee Brochure on the TEMS Homepage to discover a variety of exciting activities you can't miss! Registration will close tonight at 11:59pm! The registration link will be posted on the TEMS Homepage. Registration must be done by a parent/guardian. There are still spots open so be sure to sign up today!
  • Tickets for Entertainer's production of "Finding Nemo, Junior" are now on sale every morning in the lobby by the cafeteria and library. Tickets are $10 for both students and adults,$5 for individuals aged 65 and older and children 5 and under Shows are today and tomorrow, 7 pm, with an additional matinee performance on Saturday the 9th at 1 pm. If you have any questions or need assistance, feel free to reach out to Mrs. Leveille or Ms. Carver.
  • Do you have an artifact, dance, song, food, or other product from your culture that you would like to share with our school community? Then your family should sign up to share a booth at international night. Families will have a table to set up their booth and share their culture in the cafeteria on April 4 starting at 5:30pm. If you have something you would like to share, please have a parent or guardian fill out the Google form on TEMS website to RSVP for a booth! Interested in seeing the displays but not having a booth? You can also RSVP with the same Google form to come see the booths and performance at international night!

  • Welcome back to another edition of TETV Morning News. Today is Wednesday, March 8.
  • A big congratulations to the Kindness door decoration winners. In 6th grade Mrs Roy’s homeroom, in 7th Mrs. Rich’s Homeroom, in 8th Mrs. Bajorek’s Homeroom, and for the Encore/ Special category the winner was Mrs Ingersol’s room. All of the doors look amazing, and bring color and positive energy to our school environment. Let's keep Kindness in our hearts and minds throughout the school year.
  • Come to SAGA this Thursday, March 9th to help us plan for the special event taking place on March 30th. What is the special event, you ask? Join us in Miss Carver's room - room 145 - right after school on Thursday to find out! Remember, SAGA is a club open to any and all students - whether you're a part of the LGBTQ community, an ally, or just someone looking to make new friends, we have a spot saved for you! All are welcome. If you have any questions about SAGA, email Miss Carver or Mrs. Reed!
  • Attention all student council members, there will be a student council meeting today after school in room 244!
  • Science Olympiad Members - Mrs. Longdin will be adding Wednesdays to our practice schedule.  These meetings are OPTIONAL, but recommended!  You can work on lab preparation, build events, or study events.  We have a lot of data to collect, projects to complete, and information to gather prior to our competition.  Meetings will go after school until the late busses arrive. 
  • Attention All 8th Grade Students: The 2023 TEMS Yearbook Staff would like to create a "Besties Page", but we need YOU to send us your SELFIE with your BESTIE!  Make sure it is an image file, like a pdf or img, and NOT a Google doc or slide. Just email your Bestie Photos to [email protected]  Submissions will be accepted until Friday 3/10 end of day.
  • And now for a Teen Center Announcement -  Students who are interested in baking or learning more about it can join the Teen Center staff for our baking club on the second Tuesday of each month from 6-7:30pm. Let’s get together for brainteasers, trivia, and games to get you thinking!   • Welcome back to another edition of TETV News. Today is Tuesday, March 8. Don’t forget, tomorrow is Book Character Day! Can't wait to see all the characters that come in!
  • Attention Baseball Players – there will be a mandatory, informational baseball meeting tomorrow, March 9th for those interested in trying out for the Timothy Edwards Middle School Baseball Team.  The meeting will take place in the small gym immediately after school and end at 3:30PM.  Plan on getting picked up at 3:30PM or take the 4pm late bus home.
  • Don't forget to vote for the 2022 March Madness Book Bracket. Voting for round 2 starts today and ends Friday, March 11th at noon; to vote go to the TEMS LMC page and then the March Madness Book Bracket link.  You don’t have to read the books you are voting on; just vote for the one that sounds the most interesting; come down to the library to check one out! Don’t get left out on the sidelines; make sure you have your say in this year’s March Madness book winner!

  • This week is a Purple week. It is a day 1 for Grade 6 and a day 2 for Grades 7 & 8. 
  • A big thank you to the 427 students and staff who voted in round 1 of 2021 March Madness Book Brackets! Please continue to cast your vote in round 2 by clicking on the March Madness Book Bracket link off of the LMC page and then on the Round 2 voting link.  Voting for round two will end Friday, March 12th at noon. You don’t have to have read the books; just vote for the title whose summary sounds the most interesting.  If you are interested in any of the titles, come to the library to check out the print copy or go to Destiny Discover to check out the eBook or e-audio. Don’t get left out on the sidelines; make sure you have your say in this year’s March Madness book winner! Please see or email Mrs. Longo if you have any questions.
  • On Thursday February 25th, eight students from TEMS participated in the MathCounts Chapter Invitational Competition.  Congratulations to all 8 students for a successful showing. Amazingly, TEMS swept first, second and third place!  This has never been done before by students from TE! Congratulations to the following students: 

Aarush Kalia - First place
Roger Mao - Second Place
Daniel Stoyanov - Third Place

 Best of luck to Aarush, Roger and Daniel as they move on to the State Competition later this month.

  • Spirit Day Wednesday - Hey did you hear that this Wednesday is tie dye day? Bring out all of your favorite tie dye apparel you have made at camp, bought on vacation, or any other tie dye shirts, hats, shoes, masks….whatever you got! Remember a Amazon gift card goes to the student on each team who displays the most spirit. We can't wait to see what you all wear this week!
