  • The Lady Cougars girls basketball team hosted top of the table Ellington last night and came away with a resounding 46-27 victory.  The win avenged an early season loss to the Wildcats and now puts TEMS on top of the CRAL table with a 6 and 1 record.  The Lady Cougars played well all night on both ends of the court.  Defensively, they made it difficult for the Wildcats two best players holding them to a total of 17 points.  Offensively, 9 different players scored at least a bucket for TEMS.  The dynamic duo of Morgan Bridgeforth and Kai Grate each had eight.  Keira Deitelbaum and Shea Brochu had 7 apiece.  Emery Forko dropped 5, Teagan Purcell had 3  Gianna DiSalvatore, Maria Puniello, Kylah Wood each had 2 points in the contest and Mia Haynes made one from the charity stripe.  Overall, Coach Chandler was pleased with the effort of all the players.  "Everyone contributed in some way tonight," he stated. "The girls should be proud of their performance and proved that we are one of, if not the top team in the CRAL," he added.  Congrats girls and good luck today against Illing.
