  • Welcome back to another edition of TETV Morning News. Today is Friday, January 13.
  • TEMS students- we are excited to share more details about a SCHOOL WIDE activity night scheduled for next Friday, January 20th. We will be hosting a dance in the cafeteria, a movie in the library, and activities in the gym from 6:00-8:00 pm. See you there!
  • In other school news, Ms. Irwin and your teachers believe our students have earned the privilege of trying cross-team lunch seating. As a result of this cross-team seating will begin next Thursday, January 19th and continue to Friday, January 27th.  At any time if a grade level does not meet our expectations during lunch that grade will revert back to the team seating.

The Cross-team lunch expectations are as follows:
1. Follow adult directions.
2. No more than 8 students to a table and 6 students to a booth.
3. Once seated at a table a student must stay at that table for the whole lunch period.
4. Students must raise their hand to leave the table for any reason.
5. Only 1 student up per teacher at any one time for a snack.
6. Students will throw out their trash as they are dismissed.
7. Student dismissal procedure will remain un-changed.
8. Once dismissed students should go directly back to their team area by the same route they normally take.

  • Last night the Lady Cougars roared past the Sage Park Chargers 48-27.  The game was close early with the Lady Cougars holding a narrow lead at the end of the first quarter 13-7.  In the second quarter, the Lady Cougars only increased their lead by one as the half finished 23-16.  After a spirited halftime talk from Coach Chandler, the Lady Cougars clawed and fought their way to a significant 3rd quarter advantage...41-23.  Nearly every player scored in the contest, with Morgan Bridgeforth leading the way with 16 points on the night.  Kai Grate added 8 points and Mia Haynes had three buckets for 6 points as well.  Teagan Purcell and Kylah Wood each had four, while 5 other players each had a bucket.  The Lady Cougars are back in action on Tuesday against Ellington and are looking to avenge their only loss on the season.  Good luck ladies.

  •  The boys basketball team lost to Sage Park Middle School 49-26   The Cougars fought hard but the turnover differential proved to be too much for them to overcome.  Timothy Edwards dropped to 2-4 on the season.  The Cougars look to get back on the winning track when they play Illing Middle School in Manchester on Tuesday.
