  • Welcome back to another edition of TETV Morning News. Today is Friday,   November 11th. Today marks Veterans Day. Veterans Day occurs every year in the United States in honor of the “eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month" of 1918 that signaled the end of World War I, known as Armistice Day. In 1954, President Dwight D. Eisenhower officially changed the name of the holiday from Armistice Day to Veterans Day. Do you know any Veterans in your family, neighborhood or community? Please take the opportunity to thank a Veteran in your life or in our community today! 
  • Calling all actors, actresses, crew members, and lovers of musical theater! Entertainers is back with a fresh production you wont want to miss. This year's show is.. drum roll please... MATILDA, JR!! Interested in getting involved on stage, off stage, or behind the scenes? Come to the informational meeting on Monday November 14 in the auditorium right after all students are dismissed. Plan for a ride home at 4:05 or take the late bus. See you then!
  • Attention all chorus students:  All chorus classes will take place in Alt. 6 today.  Alt. 6 is located on the top floor, in the C common area. 
  • The 6th Grade Girls Circle Program with Ms. Bifolck and Mrs. Reed will NOT meet today during WIN period today. Return to your classroom after lunch.
  • Attention all boys and girls, we are excited to announce tryouts for the 2022-2023 TEMS cheer sideline and competition team.  Cheer tryouts are open to both girls and boys and will be held on 11/28, 11/30, and 12/1 from 2:40-4 pm in the small gym.  Please see the TEMS athletic page for registration details.  If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Edwards.
  • Attention all students interested in trying out for the TEMS Basketball teams this winter. Boys Tryouts will be held November 28th and 29th - 2:45 - 4:00. Also on December 2nd if necessary. Girls Tryouts will be held November 30th and December 1st - 2:45 - 4:00.  Also, possibly on December 2nd. Report to the main gym upon dismissal.  All attendees must have a ride for 4:00 or take the late bus.  Late buses are not available on November 29th.  Please make the necessary arrangements to be picked up for 4:00.  Students should wear athletic clothing and basketball shoes for tryouts.  
  • Lost and Found is full, and it is full of your belongings. Please stop by the main lobby at some point this week to check for lost or missing items. Items will be displayed until next Friday, and then the lost and found will be cleared. Make sure you stop by to double check for your items.

  • All students who have made ONLINE purchases of spirit wear can drop off the payment to Mrs. Martone in the office.
  • The TEMS community is organizing a Thanksgiving Food Drive! Our hope is to provide a complete dinner basket for 20 South Windsor families to enjoy on Thanksgiving, so we need your help! Please bring in any of the following: canned fruits/vegetables, stuffing mix, mashed potatoes, pie crust mix/fillings, bread/dessert mixes or gravy by November 15th. Drop off boxes are at A, B and C  entrances.  You can also give a $1 donation to your homeroom teacher. Thank you very much for your generosity!
  • On Tuesday, November 16th the Teen Center will be open from 12:30-3pm for drop-in hours due to the half day.
  • Attention all students in Mr. Bronson's Jamm Session. There will not be Jamm today.
  • Also there will be no SAGA today. SAGA will be back up and running soon! In the meantime, remember you can contact Miss Carver by email or find her in room 145.
  • Attention all students interested in trying out for the TEMS Cougars Cheer Team.  The TEMS Cheerleading Team practices daily after school, cheers at all home boys and girls basketball games, and competes at one local competition per season. Tryouts begin Monday, November 29th, Tuesday, November 30th, and Thursday December 2nd from 2:45-4:00. All sports forms with a doctor's note must be turned in prior.  Please email Mrs. Edwards with any questions.
  • Attention boys and girls interested in playing TE Basketball. Boys Basketball tryouts will be on November 29th and 30th from 2:45 - 4:00 after school in the main gym. Girls Basketball tryouts will be December 1st and 2nd also in the main gym.  Students can take the late bus or players will be expected to have a ride home at 4:00 if tryouts are not on a late bus day.  Please see the school website for more information or speak to Mr. Chandler in the main gym.
