  • Welcome back to another edition of TETV Morning News. Today is Friday, October 27.
  • Student councils introduces TE's first spirit week of the year! On Monday, we wear pink for Breast Cancer Awareness!. On Tuesday there will be a spooky day so you will dress your dreams! (No masks or props allowed) On Wednesday will be anything but a backpack; bring in your supplies using anything… except a backpack. Thursday,  dress as your decade 8th grade early 2000’s, 7th the 80’s, and 6th grade 90’s! On Friday, it’s national jersey day! So dress as your favorite sports team! So remember to wear pink on Monday! 
  • Attention 8th Graders…. The Monster Mash Dance is Friday, October 27th. This is a chance for all 8th graders to come together and have some fun. So get out your best costume and join us - no masks or props allowed! Tickets are $10 and are on sale now!! Students attending must complete the Dance Google Form before purchasing their ticket. The last opportunity to buy tickets will be today during lunch.
  • Hey sports fans, do you want to have an awesome night this Saturday? Then you should come out and support the South Windsor Panthers Football and Cheer Teams at Rye Street Park. They are having a Saturday Night Lights event this Saturday. The Panthers B Team plays at 5:30 and the A team at 7:30. Come on out, enjoy some time with friends, and cheer on our team!
  • The night sky was painted with darkness as a chill crept through the air. Calvin and Samantha looked up and...Waiting for the rest of this story?  Well, the ending is up to you. Come finish the story after school at the UConn Writing Project. Sign up soon.  The workshops starts in November. Stop by Mr. Millard or Mr. Stinchon's room for more information. Can't wait to hear how this story will end! 
  • Attention winter sport athletes...registration for cheerleading and boys and girls basketball is open.  Your parents must register you on the parent portal and an updated physician statement dated after June 1st, 2023 is required.  Please check the athletics website for more information.  The deadline to register is November 27th.  
  • Attention all TE Band members; please remember to bring your Chromebook and headphones to band class today.  Additionally, all of Mr. Marci's instrumental lessons have been cancelled for today.  Please remain in your regular encore class.
  • And now for a treat, we have the finalists from the corn husking competition. In the student division, our winner is Bryce Chandler. And for our Staff Division we have the finals between Mr Clifton, Mrs Morelli, and Mrs Hanson. And the winner is…. Mr. Clifton. Congratulations to everyone involved, what a fun competition.

  • Welcome back to another edition of TETV Morning News. Today is Thursday, October 27th.
  • Tomorrow is our final day of spirit week for the fall and the theme is Dress your Dreams day. Come dressed as your wildest dream!!! Please no full face masks for Friday. We can’t wait to see what you wear!
  • The lady Cougars had a valiant effort on the field, but, once again came up short. TE showed a lot of heart and desire. Morgan Syme , Ainslee Deptula, Kendall Woods, Prithi Suriyakumarr excelled both offensively and defensively with Kendall making a goal line save in the first half. Mrs Custer and Mr Wilkinson would like to wish our three 8 th graders Sarah Lambert , Ava Parent, and Carly Jarvis the best of luck next year.
  • Attention all winter sport athletes.  Registration is now open for basketball and cheerleading.  You will need to register on the parent portal and have a physician statement signed by your pediatrician.  The winter sports deadline is Wednesday, November 23rd.  Tryouts will begin the week of November 28th.  Please check the athletic registration page for more information. 
  • Did you hear about the mathematician who’s afraid of negative numbers? He’ll stop at nothing to avoid them. Get it… Stop at nothing! MathCounts starts tomorrow morning at 7am in the cafeteria.  Hope to see you there! For more information, join the Google Classroom with code:  ukxedmd
  • Science Olympiad will meet today in Mrs Bajorek’s room after school.  Please plan to take the late bus OR have transportation ready at 4:10 pm.
  • Calling all 6th graders: Ms. Mills, Ms. Danielle and Mrs. Reed will be running Girls Circle groups at TEMS! We will meet once a week for 6 weeks during one of your WIN periods. We will play games, create crafts, make connections and have fun together! Evergreen and Sage teams will meet on Thursdays from 12:20-1pm and Emerald and Lime will meet on Fridays from 12:20-1pm. If you are interested in this program, come down to the guidance office to sign up TODAY!

  • Welcome back to another edition of TETV News. Today is Wednesday October 27th and it is Breast Cancer Awareness Day.
  • Attention all winter sport athletes...registration is now open for cheerleading and boys and girls basketball.  Registration instructions are located on the TEMS Athletics Website.  The deadline to register is Monday, November 22nd.  
  • The first meeting of the MathCounts club will be held this Friday at 7 a.m. in the Cafeteria. For more information, join the Google Classroom with code:  w5txew3 or ask your math teacher for a flyer.  Hope to see you there.
  • Attention 8th Graders - Intramural Flag Football is starting next week.  Registration is open and will close at the end of the day on Friday.  Please go to your PE and/or Health classrooms and see the Google Form to register.  Registration can also be found on the TEMS Homepage and on the Athletics webpage as well.  All information regarding dates and times are on the Google Form.  Rosters and Team names will be submitted by the first day of competition.
  • Attention all Timothy Edwards Middle School musicians: audition material is now available for the award winning 2021-2022 Timothy Edwards Middle School Jazz Ensemble.   This talented ensemble meets weekly before school and is a great opportunity for students who play a musical instrument.  The ensemble is especially looking for advanced musicians who play piano, bass or drums to audition.  Because the jazz ensemble meets before school it is a great opportunity for student athletes to also get involved as well.  A special Jazz Ensemble audition Google classroom has been set up with all of the information you need to get involved.  If you are not in band, please ask your music teacher how you can get the google classroom code to sign up.

  • Purple Week Day 3
  • With the Fit A Thon finish line ending this Friday keep up the great work getting those pledges!!  Together we can reach our $12,000 school goal!!  Anyone who needs more information on the fundraiser can go to the TEMS website under the PTO section. There is great news to share today. As of last night, we have raised over $10,000 for the Fit A Thon!!! Thank you to everyone that has registered and has been working hard to get donations for our school! We still need your help. We are $1,800 away from meeting our goal with just 4 days left! If you haven't already, register at our school’s fundraiser website and start raising money for our school. Now here are the winners of our $40 Nomad Gift Cards: Linnaea Kraus Grade 6, Nora Carty Grade 6 and Zachary Smith Grade 7. Congratulations to all 3 winners and you can pick up your gift cards in the office after 10am. Also, don't forget, we have our last exciting raffle on Friday!!  If you have raised at least $50 in donations you will be entered for a chance to win one of three $50 Amazon gift cards. Good luck!
  • Team t-shirt design contest now through Friday. Single color on a blank sheet designs should be turned into homeroom teachers by Friday for consideration. Designs should be a representation of your team. Can't wait to see your designs!
  • Attention all TE Students and Teachers: This year the Yearbook would like to invite all of you to submit your own SELFIE with your PET.  We all love our pets, and this year they can be a part of our 2021 TEMS Yearbook. Just email your photo with your pet to Ms. Gravell, with the subject line, SELFIE WITH PETS. Let's see how many of you can show off yourself with your pet. Please submit your photos as images, not on Google formats, to [email protected].
