- The Timothy Edwards Lady Cougars basketball team traveled to East Hartford to take on the Lady Falcons but fell short 54–41. A balanced scoring attack from the Lady Cougars could not stop the hot shooting from East Hartford. One player for the Lady Falcons had six three-pointers alone and as a team, they finished with eight on the night. Solid rebounding from Emily Keegan and Elise Glunt helped keep Timothy Edwards in the game. Shea Brochu led TE with eight points on the night, while Keegan and Glunt had seven and six points, respectively. Mia Haynes, and Maria Puniello both had four while Emmy Tushi, America Bernier and Ali Kupec scored two apiece. Also, on the score sheet was Alex’s Gogic with five points in the contest. TE now has their sites in the CRAL playoffs as they travel to JFK for the semifinal matchup on Tuesday. Good luck ladies.

- Welcome back to another edition of TETV Morning News. Today is Wednesday, January 31.
- The Lady Cougars lost a heartbreaker last night in the final second of their contest with Suffield. It was nip and tuck all night as the Lady Cougars fell to 6 and 4 on the season. The first half had lead change after lead change, and the half time score was just the same at the start...tied 18-18. Maria Puniello led TE with 11 points, Shea Brochu added 10 and Liv D'Zubin dropped in three 3-pointers for the brunt of the scoring. If you weren't able to tell how close the game was, TE and Suffield were also tied at the end of the third quarter as well. Emily Keegan rebounded well, and Allie Kupec played strong defense in the fourth quarter to help keep it close in the end. Unfortunately, the Lady Wildcats grabbed an offensive rebound and scored a put back to take the lead with 16 seconds to play. After a foul TE got a shot off in the end, but were not able to match the Lady Wildcats game winning shot. TE plays today after school against JFK of Enfield. Good luck ladies.
