  • The boys track team competed at the CRAL Championship yesterday, winning the meet with 80 overall points, 6 points better than the next closest team!  It took an incredible team effort, with many standout performances.  Wyatt Cote finished 2nd in the Shot Put and 200 meter dash. Ben Tortora and Colin Grip were ferocious in the 800 meter race, finishing 2nd and 4th, both with Personal Records.  Ares Savvides dominated the 1600 meter run, and cruised on the final lap to secure 1st place.  Shane Jewett and Devon Charron were strong in the 55 meter hurdles, finishing 2nd and 4th.  Jaden Sinclair stepped up huge and earned 3rd place in the Shot Put, while Jack Sticker and Vineet Kuchipudi were strong in the Discus, earning 2nd and 3rd place.  And the highlights came from the relay teams.  The 4 by 800 team of Aidan Walsh, Shubhan Tamhane, Colin Grip and Ben Tortora got the meet rolling with 2nd place.  And the 4 by 400 team of Ares Savvides, Kyle Sullivan, Hakim Montgomery and Sam Meleshenko set a Personal Record of 4 minutes flat.  Sam Meleshenko also set a PR for the 400 meter dash, running 55.16 seconds.  Congratulate the boys if you see them today for all the hard work they put in! Go Champs!
