TE Morning News - May 3, 2019 
  • THIS JUST IN!!! The 2020 Connecticut Nutmeg Nominees are now on display in your favorite middle school library media center!  Be the first to check out the books that are considered this year’s VERY BEST READS by readers JUST LIKE YOU!  There’s something for everyone in this exciting collection of Intermediate and Middle School nominees. Don’t delay!!  Come on down and see Mrs. Longo in the Library Media Center or check out the TEMS LMC page for a list of the Nutmeg Nominees. Seriously, you don't want to miss this opportunity to get your hands on the books everyone is talking about!!
  • Tryouts for the 2019-2020 Cheerleading team are scheduled for May 13, 14 & 16 5:00-7:00 pm in the SWHS main gym.  This tryout is for athletes interested in cheering for Fall Season, Winter Season, or both Fall and Winter seasons.  This will be the only open tryout for the 2019-2020 season, there will not be any additional open tryouts held next year.  If you are interested in trying out please check out our instagram @swbvc for more information!

  • Do you have books that are taking up space and collecting dust on your shelves?  Well then, please donate your books to the South Windsor Girl Scouts.  Your donated books will go to a local hospital to give to a sick child to help brighten their day.  A box will be placed in your team area from May 6th to May 17th for your donation.  Thank you for helping out the Girl Scouts and for making a child's day brighter.

  • The Timothy Edwards Making Strides Relay for Life team, together with the PTO, is sponsoring a fundraiser with Jersey Mike's restaurant. For every coupon redeemed from the flyer you receive, Jersey Mike's will donate one dollar to our team. Relay for Life is the American Cancer Society's fundraiser, and money raised goes to research and patient support. Please support our team and visit Jersey Mike's between April 29th and May 5th.   • The Outdoor Ed trip to Block Island tomorrow is canceled due to weather concerns. Please stop by room 251 next week for a refund. 

  • Today for lunch... In the Create line you can have the Srambled Eggs, in the Grill line you can have Crispy Chicken Club and in the So Deli line you can have your choice of deli sandwiches.  Have a great day, do your best,  and remember to always strive for 5!
