  • BE THE CHANGE - GAME DRIVE - The BE THE CHANGE Club will be holding a game drive from Monday, February 3rd through Wednesday February 12th.  Games will be sent to the Holy Family school in the village of Hopkins, Belize, Central America. The Principal of the School, Miss Nunez, is looking for FUN, NEW games (sorry - no used games) with very simple directions.  Please bring in games like Sorry, Yahtzee, Trouble, Chutes & Ladders or Twister. YOUR donation will make a BIG difference in the lives of these student. Games may be dropped off in the box in your team hallway. So - THANK YOU & BE THE CHANGE...
  • There is a Neon Dance this Friday. Dance tickets will be on sale in the lobby today through Friday. Tickets will cost $7.00.  If you purchase a ticket the night of the dance, it will be $10.00.  Hope you can come to the dance!

  • Attention all band students, the auditions to perform at Madison Square Garden have been extended until the end of today. Students can audition during band, flex time, study hall. or after school.  Please see. Mr. Marci if you need a pass.

  • The Outdoor Education Club has three upcoming trips.  We will be snow tubing at Powder Ridge on February 21st, then it’s Stone Age Rock Gym on February 27th, and lastly we will be going to the South Windsor Arena for ice skating on March 26th.  Please stop by the main office, see Mr. Wilkinson in room 112, or Ms. Nelson in room 251 for a form if you’re interested in any of these adventures.   

  • The boys basketball team beat JFK yesterday 71-59 in Enfield.  JFK stayed close throughout the game, but some key steals that led to some easy baskets and free throws pushed the lead to double digits late in the fourth. The Cougars are 8-3 heading into the final regular season game is Thursday at TE against Tolland. 

  • The Lady Cougars played their final home game of the season last night, falling to the Lady Patriots of JFK 40-29.  Reagan Heafey-DeAngelis led the Lady Cougars with 9 points while Nour Abunasra finished with seven. Avery Brochu and Cassie Polansky chipped in 4 points a piece, while Brooke Stapleton and Sharon Iweka had 3 and 2 points respectively.  The Lady Cougars were down at halftime, but clawed their way back into the game.  The lead was just too much to overcome in the final minutes.  The Lady Cougars travel to Tolland on Thursday for their final regular season game of the 19-20 season.  

  • Attention Athletes! Spring Sports Registration in Power School Parent Portal is now open!!  You will not be able to try out unless Registration is complete! The deadline is Friday, March 6th. Any questions see Mrs. Stewart in the Main Office.
  • Today for lunch in the Grill line you can have Chicken Nuggets, in the Grill line you can have Italian Meatball Sub and in the So Deli line can have your choice of deli sandwiches. Have a great day and do your best to strive for five!

  • The GSA, Gay-Straight Alliance’s, first meeting has been rescheduled to after school this Wednesday, February 6th. It does not matter how you identify; anyone can attend and everyone is welcome. We will meet in Mrs. Zaugg's classroom, Room 332, on the Pacific Team. We look forward to seeing you on Wednesday!
  • Our spirit for tomorrow, Wednesday, is Twin Day. Looking forward to seeing all those look-a-likes. And feel free to dress as triplets, quadruplets, quintuplets, etc. Don't forget your donation of a dollar or an item to help support our South Windsor Food and Fuel Pantry.   • The T-shirts are back, the t-shirts are back!!! Back by popular demand, we have decided to open orders for team t-shirts for a limited time. These team t-shirts can be ordered through a link on the TE homepage. Sales will be through February 10th, and no late orders will be accepted. So if you missed out in the fall, here is your chance to get one of those awesome student designed school t-shirts.
  • Attention all TE staff and students!  Out of the Blue needs you!  We are looking for your drawings, photography, poems, short stories, and anything else you would like to submit!  You could even win a prize!  We have a contest for our cover art, a piece representing the values of Strive for Five, and a contest for the best poem or short story!  Contest forms are available in the office and on the TE homepage.
  • Attention all TE students who love to play volleyball.  Volleyball intramurals will be starting February 20th.  Come alone or grab some friends to play Volleyball or Nu Kem after school on late bus days.  Volleyball intramurals will be offered February 20th, 21st, 25th, 27th, 28th, and March 4th weather permitting.  If you are interested please pick up a permission slip in the boys or girls locker rooms.
