  • The lady Cougars took the field yesterday afternoon for the CRAL semi-final match and took away a 1-0 victory over JFK. Goalkeeper Haley Butler played exceptional between the pipes with a handful of amazing saves that kept the Cougars alive moving into the second half. As they have been all season, the Cougar back line was consistent and played smart defense stopping many crosses and attempts on goal. Moving into the second half, it was the midfield that began to shine. Isabelle Beaulieu, Sam Grodovich, and Emerson Iacovelli stood apart from the JFK defense and as the trio countlessly drove passes into the offensive half.

  • Congratulations to the girls cross country team for their 2nd place finish at the league meet yesterday.  Awesome job to 6th grader Taylor Lord who celebrated her first 1st place finish yesterday as the fastest runner in the league.  Audrey Manning and Molly Caron both finished in the top 10 overall in 3rd and 10th place respectively.  Molly dominated at the finish beating a runner from Tolland to earn her top 10 finish.  Riley Baker and Chiara Papa both ran excellent races finishing in the top 15 in the league.  A big shout out to Alyssa Drenga for running so well even though she had no shoes for the majority of the race.  Kaitlyn Dempsky, Maddy Syme, Kavya Ramasamy, and Bridget Carroll also pushed themselves and helped the team take the 2nd place finish.  The cougars look forward to their final meet of the season this Saturday at the state meet in Wickham Park. Best of luck to all runners!

  • Congratulations to the boys cross country team for bringing home the second place trophy at the CRAL meet, in a very closely contested race.  A huge shout out to Ares Savvides for winning the race, and Colin Heslin, Aidan Walsh, and Sean Habeeb for their top 10 finishes and taking home medals.   Out of 70 runners and 7 teams, the Cougars had all 10 of their runners finish in the top 21, including Colin Grip, Ollie Durbois, Colin Turer, Matt Venzie, Ben Tortora and Max Plunskie.  Great race and great effort by the runners, and thank you to all the boys that came and cheered them on.  The team caps off their strong season on Saturday when they race the state championship meet at Wickham Park.
