  • With just over a week until the school wide Walk-A-Thon, we are almost half way to reaching our goal and we need your help getting to the finish line!  Our individual student goal is $50 or more.  It's easy to share your fundraising webpage over email and Facebook.  Share with grandparents, aunt, uncles, neighbors and friends.  Only five $10 pledges will reach your goal!  Cash and checks are also accepted and may be brought into the school office with your name and team on the envelope.  Let's go Cougars and help us reach our goal!!
  • Congratulations to the Lime Team for being the first team to hit the $2000 team goal! And now, it's Walk-A-Thon raffle time!  Congratulations to all our winners! All students that have raised at least $30 in donations so far have been automatically entered in the raffle. Today's lucky winners may pick up their prizes in the office during lunch.  Good luck and thank you for registering with the Walk-A-Thon! 
  • Now here is Sam Wentzell with a new segment we are calling Sam's Weekly Ponderance. If bananas are radioactive, does that mean that if someone ate enough they would become a nuclear reactor? 
  • The 8th annual Kenny Offiaeli 3 on 3 basketball tournament will be held on November 9th from 5:30-8:00.  This tournament is open to all TEMS students.  Registration forms and checks must be handed in to the main office by Monday October 22nd.  Students may pick up a form in the main gym.
  • Do you like to help others?  Would you like to make a difference in your TE community? Then please consider joining the TEMS Friends Club.  It is an after school club that creates opportunities for peer interaction between children with exceptionalities and their peers in a friendly, social, environment. If you are interested in being a mentor in the TEMS Friends Club, please pick up an application from Mrs. Silverman in room 301.  The club will meet on Thursdays beginning October 25th. 
  • Attention all 6th, 7th, and 8th graders: The Outdoor Education Club will be having three adventures this October.  First is a bike trip around Block Island on Saturday, October 13th.  Then, on October 17th we will take a hike at Case Mountain in Manchester, and the last trip is to Foster Farm for the corn maze and hayride on October 24th.  Please see Mr. Wilkinson in room 112 or Ms. Nelson in room 251 or stop by the main office if you’re interested in any of these trips. All are welcome!
  • Registration for Basketball Club is now CLOSED!  If you completed a registration packet and gave it to Mr. Millard, YOU ARE IN!  Our first session will be after school on Wednesday, 10/17!  Bring PE clothes. See you then!

  • Sign up today for the 3rd Annual STEAM Olympics on Saturday October 27th! You must pre-register to participate in the exciting day. Join your friends and solve the TE Crime Scene Investigation mystery,  build and launch a rocket and design and test out a bridge!! Registration forms can be found on the TEMS homepage or see Mr. Smith-Horn before homeroom in Stairwell "I" .......and remember YOU CAN SAVE 15% on YOUR CAR INSURANCE BY SWITCHING TO STAIRWELL "I".  

  • All skiers and snowboarders: Registration for the TEMS Ski and Snowboard Club is open at the South Windsor Recreation Department.  The TEMS Ski and Snowboard Club will be traveling to Mount Southington on Wednesday nights for skiing and riding.  It is so much fun!  Register today at the Rec Department and let's hope for some great snow this winter!  See Mrs. Baker in room 362 if you have any questions!
  • Today for lunch... In the Create line you can have Cheese Quesadilla. In the Grill line you can have Meatball Sub and in the On the Go line you can have your choice of deli sandwiches. Have a great day, do your best and remember to always strive for 5!
