  • The TEMS girls kicked off against rivals Ellington yesterday afternoon in a very physical match. The match was mostly even as defenders Huntyr Courtois, Sidney Montana, Iniya Raja, and Hailey Testa kept the threat low. Outstanding plays came from Mikayla Evans, Hailey Testa, Anna Matus, and Megan Martin who demonstrated hustle and determination throughout the game. The Cougars fought hard and were able to keep the score tied at half-time. In the second half, TE let in a quick two goals and couldn't seem to recover. Through balls played by Emily Ledger and Megan Martin opened up gaps, but were not enough to give TE the momentum they needed. Katelyn Roux had a strong second half with a few chances on goal. Roux linked up with the likes of Lexi Lilly and Arden Sansom for a few plays, but Ellington was able to prevent TE from finding the back of the net. Hailey Butler played strong between the goalposts making six saves on the day. The Cougars face East Hartford at home next Tuesday at 3:30. Come out and support the team!

  • The TE Boys Soccer team were in action again last night taking on the Wildcats of Ellington. Unfortunately the Cougars were taken down by the cats as they fell 4 to 1. Damian Ayala scored the lone goal for the Cougars. Xavier Crane; Erik Montes de Oca and Kyle Castro played strong in defense. Aadi Dey had two superb efforts on goal though the Cougars weren't able to follow up and put them in. Next up the Cougars travel to east Hartford on Tuesday.
