  • Welcome back to another edition of TETV Morning News. Today is Monday, December 19.
  • Congrats to the 37 TEMS Debaters who participated in the Connecticut Middle School Debate League's Tournament at Smith Middle School in Glastonbury yesterday. Highlighting the day was the TEMS Team of Karthik Srikumar, Akhil Shunmugaraja and Sanjay Rajan who placed 5th out of 37 teams, recording a 'perfect' 3-0 record on the day! BRAVO TEAM! In the NOVICE Division, 3 TEMS teams finished the day with records of 3-0! Kudos to the team of: *Akshara Labhe and Sahasra Natti* As well as the team of *Hadi Memon, Gabby Fisher and Alveena Suha* and the TEMS team of *Henry Venne, Peter Venne and Devdutt Bhatte* Way to go TEMS Debate Club!! One final shout out to the handful of first time debaters!! 
  • Ms. Mills, Ms. Danielle and Mrs. Reed will be offering a 7th grade Girls Circle group starting in January. Garnet and Crimson will meet on Tuesdays and Ruby and Scarlet will meet on Fridays, both from 11:40-12:20.  Each week we will have fun playing games, making crafts and talking about important topics like friendships, inclusion, goal setting and confidence building! If you are interested, sign up in the Guidance Office by Thursday, December 22nd. Space is limited, so join Girls Circle today!
  • Attention all writers and artists.  Calling all poets and photographers!  Out of the Blue needs you!  We are ready to begin 2023 strong with your amazing work.  Out of the Blue is a nationally award winning magazine that features the great poems, short stories, drawings, photos, and comic strips of TEMS students.  Please attend a meeting on Monday January 9 in room 222 in the Scarlet hallway with Ms. Olsen to learn more if you are interested.  No need to sign up in advance.  See Ms. Olsen with any questions.
  • Winter Spirit week is here to bring some cheer to our school community. Tomorrow is Blast from the Past Day so come dressed up as anything from the past, Comfy/Cozy Day is on Wednesday. Thursday we will wear our Best Outfits to celebrate the New Year, and we will end the week with Festive Sweater Friday. We hope everyone participates and makes the week leading into break a little more fun.

  • Welcome back to another edition of TETV Morning News. Today is Friday, December 16.
  • Students taking part in the MathCounts competition should report to the Cafeteria right after homeroom today.  Be sure to bring 2 or more pencils, and a scientific or graphing calculator.  You will not be allowed to use your Chromebook or a phone as a calculator.  
  • Mr. Rescsanski’s 6th and 7th grade lessons are canceled today.  Please remain in class.
  • Ms. Mills, Ms. Danielle and Mrs. Reed will be offering a 7th grade Girls Circle group starting in January.   • Ms. Mills, Ms. Danielle and Mrs. Reed will be offering a 7th grade Girls Circle group starting in January. Price is $10 per student and you will need to bring your own packed lunch. Grab a permission slip from Sr. G or Mr. B in rooms 361 or room 121. Spots are limited to 30 students so sign up today.

Donations can be made online using this link, or cash will be collected by homeroom teachers all this week. Please no blankets or stuffed animals on Friday.

  • Attention Entertainers cast and crew: today is the first readthrough of the script!! Come to Alt 6 when all students are dismissed. We will be done in time for late buses.

  • Attention all those that have signed up for Entertainers, cast AND crew! Check the Google Classroom at the end of the day today to see the final cast list and crew selections!! ALL cast should plan to come to the first script readthrough tomorrow after school in Alt 6, and crew members are invited, too!

Please consider donating an unwrapped toy to support a neighbor in need, Monday, December 12th through Thursday, December 15th between 4-6pm at the Community Center. Our volunteers will be handing out hot chocolate to thank you for your generous donations. The Teen Center will also be hosting a painting workshop during winter break. On Tuesday, December 27th from 10-12pm you can join us to paint a winter northern lights theme.
