  • Welcome back to another edition of TETV Morning News. Today is Friday, January 6.
  • Last night the Lady Cougars crossed the border for a battle of unbeatens. Unfortunately, the Lady Cougars fell to the Ellington Wildcats, 29 to 28. It was a enjoyable game for the fans as it came down to the final seconds. TE had posted a 13 to 7 lead going into half time, but were unable to hold the lead in the end. Morgan Bridgeforth finished with 11 on the night, while Kai Grate added nine. Shea Brochu, Teagan Purcell and Emery Forko added 3, 3, and 2 points respectively. It was a tough game on both ends of the floor, as it was tough to find the bucket on the offensive end and equally hard to secure the ball defensively. It was clear though that these were the two best teams in the CRAL league and without and major hiccups, these two teams should meet in the finals. Good job ladies. Keep up the great work!

  •  Do you have ideas about how to improve TE? Do you want to improve your leadership skills? If you answered yes to those questions, you should run in the elections for student council. Interested students should fill out the Google form to enter into the election. All interested students must answer these questions by the end of the school day today .  On Thursday January 12th, your homeroom will read each candidate’s answers to those questions and vote! If you have any questions please email Ms. Sullivan or Ms. Bouquot or see them in the Lime hallway for more information.

  • Last night, the Timothy Edwards girls basketball team traveled to Enfield to take on JFK. The Lady Cougars came away with a 40–30 victory as Morgan Bridgeforth paved the way with 14 points. Steady ballhandling and seven points from Shea Brochu helped the Lady Cougars seal the win. Kai grate chipped in 10 points and Kyla Wood made a three pointer at the end of the first quarter to give the cougars a 13 to 7 lead. Teagan Purcell had two points as did Kiera Dietelbaum.  The final two points of the game were made by Emmi Touché, as she stepped to the free throw line for Shea Brochu who sustained a small head injury. Tushe was called to the line with 3.7 seconds to go and buried both shots off the bench. The Lady Cougars travel to Ellington today after school to take on the reigning champions of the CRAL. It should be a good battle especially since both teams are undefeated on the season thus far. Congrats girls!
