  • Hello TE, am back with another joke of the week, Why do people never eat clocks? It's very time Consuming!!!! 
  • We will be awarding our Walk-A-Thon prizes on Tuesday. What's up for grabs? A Pizza party!  Cash!  And Cross team lunches!!!  Who will win?   Here's a recap of the current leaders. For the $100 cash prizes,  Vincent Ryder from Lime is leading the 6th grade. Tony DeMartino from Scarlet is in the lead for 7th grade and Richard Collins from Pacific is in the lead for 8th grade. For cross team lunch Fridays in November, the 7th grade is in the lead but the 6th grade is close behind! For the Team pizza party, Lime is in the lead followed by Scarlet and Pacific. Time is running out. The donation deadline is Monday for our Walk-A-Thon, so be sure to get them in!
  • TEMS will be holding our 7th annual Kenny Offiaeli Memorial Basketball Tournament on Friday  November 10th from 5:30-8:30 here at TEMS.  This tournament honors the life of a former TEMS student and basketball player who suddenly passed away during his 8th grade year.  The money raised from the tournament goes to support the Kenny Offaieli scholarship fund that is given to an 8th grade student each year at graduation.    This tournament is open to any student at TEMS.  You may pick up a registration packet in the main office or main gym.  Forms are due by October 27th to the main office.
  • Trick or Treat for Unicef is back. Please think about contributing to this great cause which helps underprivileged children around the world. Collection boxes can be found in each home room. Lets help out by giving a little to Unicef.
  • The TE Field Hockey team extended their winning streak on the road with a 4-2 win over Suffield yesterday afternoon. Maliya Haddock scored in the opening minutes of the game with an assist by Kayden Burke. Josie Folly scored shortly after assisted by Anna Kim. Kayden fired in the third goal unassisted with Kelli scoring the fourth goal of the game with an assist by Maddy Riopel. Sophie Finer, Zoe Calhoun and Melissa Murdoch moved the ball up field well with great defense played by Grace Reed, Maya Lagasse, Molly Frank, Christina Belizzi and Avery Fournier. In the second game the Cougars were victorious again with a late goal by Anna Stapleton. Playing well in game 2 was Nicole Mann, Abby Bergstrom, Lily McCully, Grace Rich and Kaitlyn Hardy.
  • The field hockey team will be playing their annual foundation game on Thursday October 19th.  This years foundation game will raise money and awareness for juvenile diabetes in which the body is unable to regulate blood sugar.  The team will be selling blue beads for 1$ starting Tuesday,  October 17th in the main lobby.  The team will also be holding a hat day on Thursday the 19th.  If you would like to wear a hat during the school day please bring in a dollar and get a sticker for your hat in the main lobby.  Baked goods and snacks will be sold at the game.  All proceeds will go to the CT Juvenile Diabetes Foundation. Thank you in advance for supporting this years team.  We hope to see you out at the game on Thursday!
  • ALL TEMS student are invited to "TAKE THE CHALLENGE" and sign up for this year's AMC-8 competition. The AMC-8 is a 25 question multiple choice, timed math test that will be administered at TEMS on Monday November 20th. Practice prep sessions will be scheduled before and after school for all interested participants. Registration forms are available in all MATH classes and on the TEMS homepage. For more information see Mr. Smith-Horn in room 307 or before homeroom in Stairwell "I".
  • The first dance of the year will be on Friday October 20th from 6:30-8:30 run by the TEMS coaches.  This dance will be our Halloween Dance, students are encouraged to dress up for this dance.  Remember no props or masks.  Tickets are $7 and go on sale Tuesday October 17th in the main lobby before school.  We will also be collecting non-perishable food items that night to be donated to the Puerto Rico Hurricane Relief.
  • Today for lunch... In the Create line you can have Buffalo Popcorn Chicken. In the Grill line you can have a crispy chicken club and in the On the Go line you can have your choice of deli sandwiches. Have a great day, do your best, and remember to always strive for 5.
