  • Military families help sustain our fighting force - those on whom we depend for the security and safety of our nation. It's not easy for  a child to have a relative that is deployed to serve our country and we want to honor the sacrifices these children and their families make.  Today we would like to honor Peter Jennings for his service to our country and thank Finn Jennings for his sacrifice and strength. We would also like to recognize Keith Hill, Lexi Lilly's uncle for his service to the US Army. It is through these families sacrifices that we all remain safe.
  • The Timothy Edwards Making Strides Relay for Life team, together with the PTO, is sponsoring a fundraiser with Jersey Mike's restaurant. For every coupon redeemed from the flyer you receive, Jersey Mike's will donate one dollar to our team. Relay for Life is the American Cancer Society's fundraiser, and money raised goes to research and patient support. Please support our team and visit Jersey Mike's between April 29th and May 5th. Visit the TE homepage to learn more about the Relay for Life Fundraiser.
  • Tryouts for the 2019-2020 high school Cheerleading team are scheduled for May 13, 14 & 16 5:00-7:00 pm in the SWHS main gym.  This tryout is for athletes interested in cheering for Fall Season, Winter Season, or both Fall and Winter seasons.  This will be the only open tryout for the 2019-2020 season, there will not be any additional open tryouts held next year.  If you are interested in trying out please check out our instagram @swbvc or visit swbvc.wordpress.com for more information!
  • The softball team lost 9-4 against Illing yesterday as Gabby Ryan pitched two strong innings and Aricka Bousa pitched the last five innings striking out eleven. Iris Wen scores the first run for the Cougars and Taylor Nisrois scored the other three runs. Sienna Hart played an excellent game behind the plate.

  • Girls and Boys Track is cancelled for today. Please take your regular transportation home.
  • If you want to work on your fitness while enjoying some nice weather, sign up for the Spring Running Club.  Running club will meet after school on Thursdays in May. If you’re interested, stop by the main office or Ms. Nelson’s room for a form.  Forms are due back by Wednesday, May 1st.
  • The Timothy Edwards baseball team traveled to Illing of Manchester on Thursday afternoon and turned in another impressive effort.  TE scored 3 runs in the first, but Illing responded and by the end of the second inning the Cougars were down 5 to 3.  That's when Andrew Goulet and then Colin Heslin came in and silenced the Rams' bats.  Goulet pitched 3 scoreless innings and Heslin followed suit.  The two combined to give up only 3 hits the rest of the way. The TE bats were alive in this game.  They pounded out 16 hits en route to victory.  Heslin, Ben Balducci, Peyton West and Brayden Dill had three hits apiece.  Sam Pines added two singles and Joey Russo hit a laser over the left fielders head for a double.  The Cougars improve to 2 and 0 on the season and play at JFK on Monday afternoon.
  • Today for lunch, in the Create line you can have Scrambled Eggs, in the Grill line you can have Crispy Chicken Club, and in the So Deli line you can have your choice of fresh made deli sandwiches. Have a great day, do your best today and remember to always strive for five!
