  • The girls cross country celebrated with a 2nd place trophy after the Harry Geraghty Invitational meet at Nevers Park Friday.  Audrey Manning was the first TE runner to cross the finish in 10th overall.  Kaitlyn Dempsky was only two seconds behind taking 27 seconds off her season best.  Nine girls from TE earned medals by finishing in the top 25 overall, including Katelyn Baumgartner who had a great race shaving well over a minute off her personal best.  Brooke Chagnon, Emma Metevier, Olivia Hedley, and Caroline Klein also beat their fastest times on the home course by over a minute.  Sixth grader Aricka Boosa ran her first race Friday after coming off an injury and finished 11th on the team, almost breaking into the top 25 overall.  Congratulations to the boys team who took home a trophy as well for placing first at the meet.  Good luck to all runners on Tuesday at your home meet against East Hartford and St. James.
  • Our next raffle is tomorrow and three lucky winners will each win a $20 gift card to Ben & Jerry's. You just need to have raised at least $20 in donations to be automatically entered. Good Luck!
  • Our goal is for each student to raise $40 in donations and the individuals that raise the most money in each grade get a $100 cash prize. Right now, Vincent Ryder is still in first place for 6th graders, Samuel Meleshenko is still in the lead for 7th graders and our new 8th grade leader is Alexandra Raibeck. Congratulations and keep up the great work!
  • If you're hoping to raise more in donations, email grandma, grandpa, aunts, uncles, friends and neighbors and have your parents post it on Facebook!  Be sure to get those pledges in before the Walk-A-Thon!
  • Attention all TEMS musicians!  Audition music is now available for the 2017-2018 Timothy Edwards Middle School Jazz Ensemble!  Don't miss your opportunity to be a part of this award winning ensemble.  Please see Mr. Marci for more information.
  • If you are interested in community service and want to make a difference in the lives of others, then you may want to join TE's Cougar Community Service Club.  Our first meeting will be held Wednesday after school in room 223 in the Scarlet Team hallway.  Looking forward to seeing you there! Again, that is this Wednesday in room 223 in the Scarlet team hallway.
  • STEAM Olympics registration is now open to all 6th, 7th and 8th graders. Sign up to participate in the 2nd annual STEAM Olympics on Saturday October 28th. Students must pre-register to participate in a variety of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematical activities. Registration forms are available in all Science classroom or on the TEMS homepage. For more information, see Mr. Smith-Horn in room 307 or before homeroom in Stairwell I... Zoom, Zoom to Stairwell I.
  • Congratulations to the boys cross country team for bringing home the 1st place trophy from the Harry Geraghty Invitational on Friday afternoon. With good running weather finally here, Kyle Sullivan ran a season best time and was the first TE runner to finish, coming in 2nd overall, and Ben Tortora's hard work continues to pay off as he crossed the line in 11th.  Carlo Papa continues to run faster with each meet and was rewarded with 24th place, one of the 11 Cougars to win medals for top 25 finishes.  Vincent Kuchipudi and Colin Heslin also ran strong races to bring home some hardware.  The team will test their fitness again with a home meet on Tuesday when East Hartford and Saint James visit.
  • Today for lunch... In the Create line you can have Chicken Nuggets. In the Grill line you can have Toasted Patty Melt and in the On the Go line you can have your choice of Deli Sandwiches. Have a great day, do your best, and remember to always strive for 5!
