  • Hi everyone, I’m Shradha. And I’m Taruni. We are here to tell you about Out of the Blue Literary Magazine. Do you enjoy writing, drawing, poetry, photography, or have a talent you wish to show someone but nobody to show it to? Then submit to our literary magazine, Out of the Blue! Out of the Blue is Timothy Edwards’ award-winning literary magazine, and it has won many national awards. We have several upcoming contests that you can submit to. Are you an artist? Then submit to the cover art contest and have your artwork displayed on the front cover of this year’s edition of Out of the Blue! Are you a writer? We have the writing and poetry contest as well! If you are a poet, then consider submitting to the poetry contest! If you would like to show some school spirit, submit to our Strive for Five contest! Draw a picture, write a story or create a poem that shows the five agreements (plus 1) of TE. So please think about submitting to Out of the Blue!

  • This past Saturday, 25 local schools and 192 students participated in the Hartford Chapter MathCounts competition at the University of Hartford.  Yunfei Zheng, Aarush Kalia, Sai Koppu, Rishabh Mohapatra, Arnav Thakrar, Sristhi Chowdhury, Shri Radhakrishnan, and Ryan Duong represented TE at the competition.   The TE team of Yunfei, Aarush, Sai, and Rishabh placed TE a very impressive second in the competition, earning the right to compete in the State competition in March.  Yunfei led TE by placing first individually among the 192 competitors.  Aarush and Sai followed in 7th and 8th place individually, and Rishabh placed 12th.  Arnav and Sristhi placed 20th and 25th, both earning an invitation back to the State competition.  Yunfei not only placed first in the written portion of the competition, he also placed first in the very intense head to head competition.  This is the second year in a row TE students took top individuals honors in both portions of the Chapter competition.  Once again, it was a very impressive day of math for our school.  Congratulations to Yunfei, our team, and individuals for their fine efforts.  Good luck at the State competition.
